67 Imperial What is?

Hi, Can someone familiar with 1967 Imperials tell me what the small "thing" on the firewall with the electrical leads running to them (2 have yellow)tops ).is? And what is the functions

For having good earth/ground i think , the thick black wire is also connected.
I guess when you take it of the firewall you see ( clean ) metal.

They call it a terminal block in the fsm, the heavy black wire goes to the battery side of the alternator while the other heavy black wire goes inside to the ammeter. The other two wires have fusible links on them, one goes to the ignition switch and the other goes to the headlight switch.
 
Lol! Factory Service Manual is a must with these cars. You can download digital copies on the net or find an original hard copy on eBay or the like. This site has some of what you're looking for but at this time they don't have '67 or '68 Imperial fsm available.

Are you referring to the white/blue Chrysler Imperial service manual with 24 individual sections?, if so, yeah, I've got that. I thought you were talking about something else.
