Hello Imperial lovers. Reg here i. Arizona, i have a beautiful original un restored 1967 Imperial crown 4dr Hardtop.

I purchased a nice used right side mirror from Imperial Heaven with all the mounting hardware. Would anyone there have the measurements of the two mounting hole placements on top of the right front door , i would like to know this from a car with factory right side mirror? I don't want to put it on in the wrong location ? The place I bought the mirror from has the car there but he's away from the shop and I was trying to mount the mirror today!

Thanks to anyone that can help me .

I can't recall any car where the L&R mirrors weren't mounted in the same spot. Not that I ever purposely checked cars for such a thing.

Thanks old man, me either , thats why i was asking someone to look at their 67 - 68 before I drilled holes in my beautiful original un restored 67 Imperial! Who would nocice half and inch or so difference for visibility tuning due to the vent window.

The right side mirror does nothing to aid the driver, it's useless. Have we seen your car?

Hello, was your mirror factory option? I Guess if your not normally using the right mirror its not a big deal for me i use it all the time backing out of my drive way. Is your right mirror the same distance from the front door edge as the drivers side, I assume it is but im trying to confim this before arming my drill with a pilot bit!

Yes my car is in the members garage here is a link to it.

Thanks guys I got a reply from someone with the factory install mirror and it is mounted further back on the right side then on the driver side from the factory to allow proper visibility! Thanks for all your help .

That would be great if you could measure yours the fellow that told me it is different is not by his car right now, I used tape to test it and sure enough youncant see anything through itnif you mount it as far forward as the drivers side .

Same as driver's side, useless but it looks good.

I've never noticed that, but wow, that is a lousy location. I put a right side mirror on my old '62 New Yorker. It served me well, but was in a totally different location.

As for mounting one, I agree with what's been said. Measure the driver's side and repeat on the passenger side. I did the same with the Gremlin.

I had forgotten what a beauty that was.

You mean you`ve never owned an Opel Caravan in all These years ? :p

Passenger mirrors were commonly mounted more rearward on B bodies for visibility. I can't attest to C bodies.
