1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT Brogham & U code Super Comando

gona be to busy listening to the dieing screams of the ricers behind me.......thought about it but on occaision when l do get to drive the car will be listening intently to engine

on a side note these radios for the cassette decks are unit specific....would be tough as heck rounding up correct radio with outlet cord for cassette and a dash faceplate
these cassettes may not even work with a am/fm setup...will have to keep a eye out to see what combinations may be out there...

amazing detail. am/cassette with fader and three speaker dash must have been an unusual combination. any details on how he restored the ashtray, etc? plated or painted?

the 3 speaker settup on the dash or the extra two speakers are part of the casset package...not shure how that would coralate with the Brogham package or was in part ,,part of the Brogham package

ashtray...may be painted.....quit smokeing 14 mnths ago so no plans to use...if l were to do a concourse restoreation woulda just found nos ashtray or stripped and anodized this one

Commando.....any hiers?...heck thier already drawin straws.....

little bit of a surprise today...was in process of sending down the 7in gmc rims to Paul and got them out in the light and saw the chrysler Pentagram stamped beside the air inlet....so for whatever reason l "assumed" they were gmc thier not....thier actully chry 7in roadwheels so bonus....
anyway just another confirmation that these 7 in roadwheels are out there and more than likely cheaper and more plentifull...a plus for C Bodys....

7" roadwheels were on 78 & 79 Le Barons and Diplomats as an option I believe. The trick is finding the right trim rings to make them look close to correct to the original road wheels on these 70 - 73 C bodies.

How many miles on your car? What did Paul end up doing to the rear end?
Were you able to find a belt for your cassette player? Did Paul have to do anything to get the tape player to work, or maybe it seems you do not really care if it does?

If you want a correct am/fm stereo radio for your car, I might have one available, so let me know.

Steve

Is that argent paint on the centers?

yes but they need to be redone...belive orriginal seller just threw a quick coat on them as theres dust and **** in the paint ect...little paint stripper and refinish ...chrome are good on these...cant wait till next week to see what oem roadwheel trim rings will loook like on these...hopeing thier passable then l can have a slightly bigger footprint at 7 inchs as opposed to the oem 6inch roadwheels

I have to paint my roadwheel's for the Newport and polish the chrome too.

we'll have a definite awnser next week on what the trim rings look like and fitment..will get pics so we can put this issue and question to pasture...

mileage on car was 103827 miles
Rear end was changed to 3.23 shuregrip...Paul said it didnt have shure grip but looks 3.23 gears were orriginall to car

Cassette....Pauls going to power up dash ect today so will find out....would assume...argh dont assume...one would think the rubber drive belt in these would be toast after all these years...in anycase if theres issues will just have it sent off to be cleaned and repaired...want that cassette deck working as it should...also sending orriginall Introduction Cassette tape off to be copyed and will put together a new case as well...dont imagine old cassette has many plays left in it due to age...

Thanx for the offer Steve but will keep that AM radio oem to car as truthfully rarely listen to the radio ect and am content to listen to the engine as the miles slip by....

I wish Chrysler trim rings had part numbers on them. It would make ID'ing them a lot easier.
