mopar salvage yard data base

It is certainly a challenge to source good solid parts. I found a car that the drive train had been pulled from. Unlike my car being a sedan it was a hard top. I was going to buy it and then list all of the parts that would not work for my car. I ran into snag after snag trying to figure out a way to get it home though because I don't own a truck. The whole reason I was entertaining doing that was just to save the parts for others. since the after maket hasn't realized there is a following for the cars we have to look out for each other.

I agree that it should be accessible to forum members only, you commando1 probably knows how to do this. private message me your email and we'll get it off to you. live 4th eking your thought with sharing the unwanted parts is the reasoning behind my other post in the wagon forum, to get a handle on how much or little to get with the parts car. I am shipping via a transportation company.

The problem with hording parts or "saving" parts you can save a million before one is needed by someone. Especially the year specific or model/year specific parts.. The good intention is there but at what cost to you?

I am guilty as charged on part hoarding.
Would this list of yards also allow us to post our surplus stuff as well?

the yard list is a result of trying to find a donor car. C-body dry dock has one that lists a couple as does one of the Imperial forums. However when let your fingers walk, there are way more; so to keep track of the Google hits I compiled a list. After my inquire about one, and the thought of anyone giving up a honey hole seemed remote, I built a list for myself and to share with others that are getting involved with our cars. Getting back to Rwc's question, the for sale section might be an appropriate place if it is to be sold. if it is overflow, dare I say for trade or free to the needy car restore whom is a forum member maybe an additional forum should be created? Web master thoughts?

I agree on the for sale. I was envisioning more what you said, as far as specialized stuff I would rather see go to the right place more than anything else. I watch what people are looking for and if I have it I contact directly.

Wonderwagon: Try Moore's in S.Dakota I found a rust free tailgate for my 68 wagon there. Phone # is 605-484-4751. great place to deal with.

thanks crazyboutwagons, tried emailing no luck. May have a complete parts car though. However, did get a database made up, if anyone is interested PM and we'll get a copy off to you. Should also let the web master know that a space for this stuff could be nice to post for all to use that are at least forum members

wonderwagon. hope it works out for you. they were very helpful when I talked to them. they sent me a bunch of pictures so I could see what I was buying before I decided on purchasing and even arranged the shipping.

know of 3 or 4 here in Colorado, not real sure what you're after, one is close and they have the big three you can pull your part, and take it to the office and pay the man, if interested get in touch, also know of one in southwest Ks. eccentric old gent, must be pushing 90,by now, but he has a bunch, big 3++ from the 30's through 80's he'll sell whole cars without titles, I would have to look for # but think I have it,I remember a 65 Sport Fury b/b with a 4 spd. what scares me bout his place is what happens when he passes.

Murray advertises in MCG, or used to. Along with others, much of the parts are there for the picking
Yeah, he is hardly a secret. I found him before this site. He runs adds in Hemmings on a regular basis.

contacted a couple in your great home state, nada. Another in that area, no go. Looking for a donor or complete body shell. Found a couple waiting on pics for decision.
