I have a completely rebuilt disc brake set up from a 1973 Newport that I was going to install into my 1969 Newport. Unfortunately, I sold the car today.

These are the large single piston calipers.

All parts have have been blasted and painted an completely rebuilt. New bearings installed.

Includes Large booster and pro portioning block.

I am looking to get $1000 which is what I have into them. I am located in Detroit and would prefer that the parts are picked up. I will ship at your expense, be beware that these parts are heavy.

contact me with any questions.

Pete

Make an offer! They are just sitting here!

Maymarmag, I think if you provided a list of what's included with photos, rather than just say you have a complete rebuilt disc setup for $1,000 it would generate some interest and help you sell your setup. Since your posting was Nov 29th and it is now 9 weeks later with not even a nibble, that pretty much speaks for itself.

Also, unless a person has priced things out, they really don't really know how much a disc conversion would end up costing them… all they see is $1,000 and think, “TOO MUCH!” Realistically $300 or less is the price point people are looking to spend for a ’73 setup. That said, you simply need to justify your price.

I picked up a ’73 conversion off Craigslist and paid $300 for the setup, but everything needed to be stripped, cleaned and painted. When one factors in the $500+ I spent in New/Rebuilt parts; New Rotors, Inner/Outer Bearings/Races & Seals, Calipers, Ceramic Brake Pads, Brake Hoses, Dual Master Cylinder, MC Fittings, Brake Lines, Proportion Valve and getting the Booster Rebuilt - people may see that your price is not too far off from my total cost if its contents come close to what I ended up with.

Last August I listed on this forum a Factory Disc Conversion Setup for ’69-’72 C-Body for $375 + shipping and it was sold. I did however included a lot of information leaving no stone unturned - the buyer was very satisfied with the purchase. SOLD - Factory Disc Conversion Setup for '65-'72 C-BODY

FYI - USPS Rate Shipping is only $17.90/ Large box (w/$50 free insurance per box). I shipped the above setup in 4-boxes (including the two used rotors I threw in just for the price of shipping). Total shipping cost was $78.60 which included $200 of additional insurance for $7.

Pictures! I agree with what's been written; pictures of what you have would be very helpful.

it's been 5 days since I replied to his post and he hasn't responded... guess he's not really interested in selling it to go through the trouble of posting pics or information... oh well, tried to help him...

Dont feel bad... you did your part. Good chance he isnt even active, and now when he does see this has to dig out the parts, stage them and take/upload photos... not everyone finds all that to be so easy. Great advice BTW.
