looking for the bar that runs through the center motor behind the front grill...is the bar that runs to the head light doors to open and close them
This is for a 1971 fury with hidden headlights...

Thanx

thank you sir....Garry..wolfen measured the one on his gt and came up with a measurement of around 32 3/8's in long with the bar being 4mm x 5mm.
if you could measure yours would be apprieciated
300s may be tad longer but shortening wouldnt be a issue if to long..
thought ld sent one down with the GT but Paul says the one he has is to short...at anytime were these a 2 piece setup re the bars..one for each headlight door with a break in the middle?

I believe they are all one piece.

It's a little hard to measure because of the bend in the bar and it being all mounted, but I came up with a little over 30". That surprised me.

Ask the seller to measure the length.

I just checked my parts book and they list different part numbers for the Chrysler and the Fury.

funny...was the 70 hidden headlight grill a 2 piece setup for bar..Paul says one he has is to short and just found another bar in my spare room...may be those were for a 70 grill l bought and mayby sent him one half of the bar setup....will contact seller for length thanx

70 and 71 Plymouth use the same part number bar.

k great info thanx....now for the mystery..what the heck are these bars from then...may be the orriginall seller that sent me the 70 grill sent me bad or wrong bars and or bar..hmm

There seems to be 3 bars listed in 1970 and 71. One for the Fury, one for the 300 and one that fits the Charger and Imperial.

In 1969, the part numbers for the 300 and the Imperial are different from 1970.

It is okay if they are a little longer, if you look at the pics on my resto page you will see that there is room to spare at each end, probably totaling over an inch.
