'71 Sport Fury

Alright, that does a bit to put my mind at ease.

So what's the issue with those things anyway? Are they just not properly made or shaped?

The owner of the company knows he has a captive customer base, claims "economy" meaning "shitty", and really doesn't care if you buy them or not. I spoke to him personally, his attitude is terrible.
With that being said, I have only seen how a set fit on a Chevelle, maybe the Fury pieces will be stamped better.
On my 65, I was concerned that the lower edge off the quarters weren't rolled in, they just jut down at an angle.
Please report back your findings.

Alright, I will. It won't be until at least march first though.

From the pictures at least they looked like they should match up. Looks like they should be a little longer then they are though.

Man theres a lot of metal to that thing. That a fuselage style quarter?

Just got off the phone with my uncle, He said he could probably do it for around 100 bucks. Which sounds pretty damn good to me. So if these panels are stamped decently it should work out. I'll report back the results of this, wish me luck boys.

By the way CanCritter, I like your avatar

wheel openings are wrong. if you are having someone do it, take a wheel opening molding with you to insure it will fit when done.

Do you mean like make sure they cut the wheel openings right?

Could I tell him to follow the wheel trim line, or use the old wheel opening as a guide?

On the 69 Sport Fury vert I was having restored I bought a set of them and my body man would not even touch them they were so bad. ( in thickness, shape and overall as he said "chinseynss" ) I ended getting donor ones from a 70 Sport Fury.

The company that makes that creased pc of flat stock claims it fits Furys, Polaras, and Newports, 65 - 73.
Think about it.

Damn, well I guess I'll see. I think my guy might be able to make it work. We're probably not going to use all of it though. Just the area behind the wheel and maybe the wheel opening. The driver's side is way worse then the passenger side. So that might be easier.

ONE SIZE FITS ALL.......

Just wanted to confirm something before I order it. The front fender extensions are those little raised up bits in the front corners of a fuselage C body. Next to the hood. Right?

Pretty soon my Fury will look like a patchwork car lol

one size fits none. if your uncles any good he probably won't care. so long as it's thick enough. he'll cut it, flange it, shape it, tack it in. give him a deuce a side. you'll both be happy. if you have the stainless trim for the wheel arch, that's your pattern. SG
