Mother's against BB guns

Uuuhh, I don't know much about guns, illegal here, but what are BB guns ??
The only guns I've ever had in my hands are a Browning pistol and a Uzi. That was when I was in the army back in 1978.

A BB gun is a gun that shoots BB's. BB's are steel balls @.177" diameter. There are different types. Some propel the BB via a spring, some use CO2 cartridges and some use a pump to compress air.

I got into more trouble with a slingshot than I ever did with my Red Ryder but that means once vs never. I thought I was real good with that slingshot but a ricochet broke an expensive window. Lots of snow shoveling and lawn mowing to pay my parents back. I never let my son have either even though I was brought up with them. I would take him to my club to shoot. I did buy him a nice paintball gun and took him to paintball ranges with his friends though. I wish they had paintball guns in the 60's.

my ******* neighbour across the street bought his ******* son a pellet rifle. he would wait till rainy dark nights and shoot at my aluminum soffit. drove me nuts till I found pellets on the ground under the windows. I confronted the ******* when I figured what was happening and he pretty much denied it was happening. I fixed his ***. roofing nails in a gravel driveway work really well. the wife and I would laugh out loud watching them change tires on a regular basis. he was a construction contractor so he probably thought they were coming from his truck. so don't f--k around with a f--k arounderer.

Now that there is not funny. Did you notify the police? Big crime often starts with small crime. I agree with your assessment of the neighbor, but not so much with your reaction. Booby traps can injure innocent people.

Sometimes I forget how privileged and fortunate we are in the US. This is a Red Ryder BB gun.

These are bb's and are about 0.17" in diameter. The is no gun powder involved. They are fired either my pumping (pressurizing air) up in the gun or some guns have replaceable CO2 cartridges that propel the bb.

Good for killing little varmints like chipmunks.

Ok, that's clear. Those guns you can buy here and are not illegal.

I totally agree with you guys, gun safety of any kind begins at home. I was lucky when I was a kid, my dad taught me how to handle a weapon, came in pretty good also in the service. Passed it along to both my kids.

That was a well adjusted young man... I was the only kid I knew with 50+ lbs of gun powder on hand and zero desire to do anything stupid with it. When friends got stupid with their Daisies I bugged out... the *** beatings just for being there would have been epic.

I had BB and pellet guns from about age 10, a 22 came at about 13, shotgun later. I taught both my boys about guns and both took hunters safety. My 20 year old is a hunter, the 17 year old doesn't care, but both enjoy shooting. It's up to the parents to teach their children.

it's easy. they call it connecticut. here, people who murder other people aren't in prison. least not for long. if someone breaks into my house though, and i don't dispatch them correctly, i will be. i'm supposed to "retreat" to a "safe room" and let the intruder have free reign so long as they don't enter the "room". connecticut, where crime really does pay. weather's decent though. this is very simple tink. not rocket science. my neighbour was an *******. his kids were assholes. the mother was useless. therefore the kids were useless. they did a lot more harm to me then I did to them. roofing nails were a nice way of my getting back at all of the useless fucks. I really enjoyed watching them change tires for 4 years. now this is my last post regarding this.
