The implications of this are huge... all the parts in the Jegs catalog that say "not legal for street use" would potentially become "not legal for purchase" and would affect every form of amateur racing on some level. We are in the twilight years of the internal combustion engine. The cheap oil prices might extend it a little more though.

Well if you take the licence plate off and salvage the title it becomes no vehicle, like regulating a 10 year old lawnmower for emissions. It is someone looking to be heard so they mention something that will get everyone upset from a 5 year old to a 75 year old now are looking at the epa which is what they want, too many people appointed over there that should be on reality TV to get their fame not a government policy making office. I also think that some of these stories are made up by Sema and others to publicise themselves, always seems to be one of these stories out when the Sema show is on to remind people a show they are not invited to is going on.

I'm a member of the SEMA Action Network (SAN) and it doesn't cost a thing. They keep me up to date on bad legislative ideas,........ even things that happen in Canada. They get the word out so that we enthusiasts can protest bad legislation..............I, think this is a good thing.

There is a thread on FABO about this with a link to a petition, I signed it not hat it changes anything, but also a link to quoted text from the 380 page legislation (long winded lawyers!) Wtf. It has contradictory language how you will be not allowed but they will allow or won't bother with blah, blah blah, you get the idea. It is their form of filibustering, in 2017 the top dog in the epa will no longer have a job no matter who gets elected. This is their last line in the sand might as well make it a deep long one.

Agreed... tree hugging idiot trying to make her mark in the planet's history. The impact of the cars in question is not going to bring the end of the world more than a day or two sooner... at best. Besides, I don't like trees.
