leaveing the signal lights be till l can round up some replacements..first acorn bolt l touched on them just fell off

PS...most of my vehicles are in good shape..rusted bolts are generaly not a issue for me...on the 70 have run into a few bolts that were basically seized...cpl l fought with but after that put the propane torch to them and am impressed in just how much difference a little heat will make in regards to the rusted and seized lower bolts.

Get yourself a few feet of flexible duct and end it near the front bumper to blow the warm air under the car

its blowing outa there pretty good actually plus l have a mr heater electric fan and heater going down there as well and generally have that directed where lm working,,hopefully it'll warm up by sun to -18 or so...another couple days and the worst of the detailin will be over...then again lm lookin at those inner fenders thinkin they'll drop down fairly easy I'm thinkin

Chinook won't come until he is finished all the work laying on the cold floor.

Well he better hurry cause I'm done with this -30 BS!!!

We better do a check on welfare he might have got his tongue stuck to a piece of metal lol

It is frosty, I ran out of beer and had to venture out. SOAB it's cold out there. Bought my beer and go to load it in the back of the Jeep and the hatch lift pistons are frozen and hatch darn near got me in the head.
Got me a long stick to hold it up. GD lift things are only 10 years old and probably off warranty. :D
Oh well, lots of beer now so I'll just sit here in front of the fire place and ponder laying on the freezing cold concrete floor under a car while scraping 40 years of crap down onto my face. Me thinks that's not a beer job, that baby requires Rye Whiskey and lots of it! :p:p

Truth be known lm kinda feelin like a troll under there and what's more am lookin like one....can't remember the last time l shaved.and l scared one of the new Canadians last week after a long day playing in grease....for some reason she wasn't holdin that door for me...go figure....l woulda slammed it shut to lol

Anyway bottom of engine bay is complete for most part...still have some touch ups to do ect and couple personal touchs as well...my engine bays paint is ready so l can grab that Monday and with a little luck wrap up the front end and move on back...will end up at the tail end where l have to drop tank to sort out fuel sender..will also give me the opp to clean up under there while its out...few pics...

it only took me a hr to clean up all the overspray and dust....argh...anyway along with the heat comes the dust and lots of it...now that the worst is done the ole 70 gits a dust blanky to protect it from dust and paint...

Have my bud watchin over it while lm gone so watch it...he'll shank ya for shure if you give him a reason

was also pondering my front valance quandary....have a 71 that l can make work and involves nada....or l can try to fix my 70 lower front valance with a little welding ect....
am leaning heavily to fixing the 70...think with a little paitience and a cardboard template l can sort it out...never say never...hell if you don't try youll never know or learn to broaden ones abilities....

Looking good!

As you were saying, the head on that awl is a strange one, not exactly hand friendly. Found this ice pick so maybe that's what you have. Better yet, another one which is a kitchen gadget.

I never would have thought that there was a Vintage Ice Pick society.
But then again, we're talking Canada here, aren't we..

Except the seller is in Lancaster Virginia. :D
I liked his description where he says "neat shabby and rustic look!", he could sell cars on CL.:icon_fU:
