Hi, I'm new here, and actually new to owning an older car. I hope I can learn some things and hopefully help if I can. I'm retired and spent most of my career working on truck suspensions and frame work and motorcycles, mostly Harleys. I just bought a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham. The Wife named it the S.S. Lucille. The car has spent 99% of it's life in Arizona and hasn't been tagged since 2003. The car is solid top to bottom clean interior and runs good. I did a complete service on the drive train and now I'm replacing all the rubber, from tires to grommets. I just ordered factory service manual but it won't get here until next week. I'm needing to replace the grommet for the fuel tank that the filler tube fits into the tank. I found some on ebay but could use a part #, seems there's a couple of different ones. I thank you for letting me join and ask questions. I'll post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to get them off my phone.

After you install the grommet in the fuel sell, just start the filler neck on the hole and stop. Go get your can of brake clean and give the circumference ah couple squirts around the metal and rubber adjoining surfaces then wiggle and push. NO BETTER LUBRICANT FOR THAT REMOVAL OR INSTALL THEN BRAKE CLEAN...BTW, Welcome to the party, Jer

I needed one for my 70 Charger and the local specialty shop suggested calling the local Chrysler dealer 1st. Surprised it was still available at the dealership and had it in a day.
