Yeah . . . What the "Cowl-Induction Polara" really needs is that big aluminum spoiler off of the neighbor kid's Ricer . . .

That'd fix everything . . .

The car is extremely fast now. He planned to pull that engine and offered the car to me and my daughter. The poor thing lost its soul, its character. Its gonna take several thousand to undo the damage .....

Let it go. Leaving it out there will actually be a tribute to your dedication to these cars. Everybody will know it as Polara71's old car that some ******* really ruined.

I think it should be brought back. Wheres the rust I dont see any? Ha! That's the scary part with these cars.

How does a stock 383 equal fast in a 4000+ LB automobile? Unless the ad isn't accurate.
$800 as a roller, your price or his?

It was painful to look at this car, and I couldn't find the ambition to go give her a good looking over. I knew she was formerly yours from our conversation about her. I want to say, I know you tried very hard to stay fair to the owner when speaking of this car and I know it caused you pain to see her this way. Now that I see the before pic, what a tragedy.

I Didnt even read the ad...... I'm going by what I recall him telling me last summer. He wanted to put the engine in something else and offered the car to us without the engine.

800 is my price, he has plenty tied up in the body work , mostly time. Apparently the guy between him and I was doing some bad things to it with a grinder.

The trunk pan needs a new one. The trunk lip channel is not great. Especially the area where it drains behind the bumper.
The rear window channel was repaired by a body shop when I first bought her. I'm not sure where that work is now, it was coming undone 7 years ago.

The left fender had rot, the left quarter was going bad in front of the wheel. He told me it had body work done under the paint already.
The floors are solid and the frame is good. I'm not sure if the 360 is any good or where it is. At this point it should have a crate engine in it and become a cruiser.... I'm nervous about where it will go.

My advice to my daughter was what Stan said...let it go. It is a tough pill to swallow
