    Killed a coil

That is the coil I killed. So maybe it is limited in what it can handle but one will never know from Pertronix.

For Sale 1968 Chrysler New Yorker 4 dr sedan TNT

I want this car so bad and it is a double edge sword. Want it, could afford it, but far away and already deal with 11 cars, but is the top year for a New Yorker in my book.

    Killed a coil

Not in the Polara as that has the HEI from years back that I showed here. Although when I had issues with the Pertronix II maybe it was the coil. I was out taking a drive in my Cougar before it got closed up in a garage with two cars behind it waiting on engines. Everything went fine for 17...

Which AC compressor. RV2 or Sandon on my 66 New Yorker

Or, have someone who worked AC systems in the 70s to pay for school before joining a large computer company. He just dropped off a case of R12 for me at my office. Now I have two cases and four R12 systems.

I have six motors sitting on my bench for the 67 Parklane not including the four in the car. All of them use three small round gear plugs.

    I got a Station Wagon!

This addition helped smooth out the engine when leaving from a dead stop. Also the tendency for the idle rpm to bounce around. Probably a small vacuum leak. At the same time replaced all the missing vacuum lines that had been eliminated.

    YOM PLates

A "Y" plate would be 1969. My 1968 Cougar's "WTD" plate was issued late May 1968. Here is a 69 Buick.

    YOM PLates

The Ambassador was straight forward. Take new white plates and use blue plates I supply. It was the other two since the Mustang plates were to be transferred over to the Dodge. That part led to uncertainty when it came time to finish the Mustang she then put the plates for the Dodge under her...

How many of you get a private message now and then asking you about a car you have for sale yet you have NO car for sale. Third time this year for me. Latest is about a phantom 74 Charger I supposedly have for sale.

what is best oil to use on 1978 Chrysler with 400 engine?

Wondering when someone would mention that oil. I use VR1 10W-30 in all but the Polara which gets 20W-50. The four Fords all have rebuilt engines with under 20,000 miles while the Polara is not rebuilt yet at 77,000 miles. Filters are Motorcraft except the Ambassador which is Wix. Seems no cross...

    YOM PLates

Part of my restoration was to always get correct YOM plates for the Polara. The seven digit white and blue plates look so wrong on an older car. Maybe not to younger folks but to me they are an eye sore. Well today was the day to go down to the DMV. I went to Window 18 and when I arrived I asked...

Proper Vinyl Top Replacement Advice Needed - 1973 Newport Custom

You can take the top off yourself as it isn't impossible to do. I did it on my 73 Polara. Don't be surprised to possibly see a pinhole or two along the lower rim of the window channel. Those channels easily got dirt buildup that almost never dried. After that I stripped to bare metal, shot with...
