vintage pics of women & cars

IIRC, I saw that car at the huge New York City International Car show in 1966. I still have the program from that. My parents took me to NYC on vacation a few times. Saw the Worlds Fair in both 1964 and 1965. I think the 1966 trip was so my Mom could go to the Radio City Easter show and we...

vintage pics of women & cars

This picture is from the movie "It Started with a Kiss" starring Debbie Reynolds and Glenn Ford. This one is a reproduction of the original. I think it's the Bob Butts built car. The painted side trim and grille gives it away. Lincoln Futura - Wikipedia

    Aftermarket Oil Gauge Sender

If it's the sender, yes, the best thing to do is match the sender to the gauge. Here's how it works. Senders measure resistance to ground as the pressure changes. So... let's say your sender and your 100 PSI gauge is setup for 20-100 ohms. At 20 ohms, the gauge will read 100PSI and at 100...

    Dash pad Cracks

I'll bet that could be fixed by someone that repairs car seats with small cuts. The only thing is putting the Meguirs dressing on it means there is now silicone on the surface that may be hard to clean off.

NOT MINE NOT MINE - 1966 Fury III 383, 4 speed WITH FACTORY AC for sale

Probably 40 years ago at least, I had a buddy that worked in a Speed Shop (remember them?) and he used to keep an old cam we broke into two pieces under the counter and when someone asked for a 3/4 cam, that got tossed on the counter.

    65 Sport Fury Convertible WIW

If the car is as clean as it looks in the pics, $25K USD is probably a good figure. That's ~$34K CDN. I'd start higher ($40k CDN?) because you can always come down, but you can't go up.

    Disc brake conversion kits

Dunno... I grabbed that pic off the intrawebs. I was never impressed with the Jacobs ignition to tell the truth. Too much smoke and mirrors for me.

Help! Where exactly are the circuit breakers on a 68 Town & Country?

The circuit breakers automatically reset, so there's nothing you can do to reset them. That's two breakers tied together. Any chance you have power door locks too? One breaker for the locks and one for the windows.

^This^ With some cars, you can flip the brackets side to side and mount the caliper towards the front like this one:

Help! Where exactly are the circuit breakers on a 68 Town & Country?

There's no "box". It might be just screwed to the sheet metal or it could be on a bracket. It looks like this: Here's a pic from an old thread I found while looking for a picture of the breaker. This is a '68 Fury, so it would not surprise me if it's the same. Driver side, kick panel location.

    Oil Light Issue

Assuming the mechanical gauge is reading correctly, it comes down to a couple things. First is if the wire from the sender is shorting to ground somewhere. That could be a break in the insulation or something like that. The other cause could be the sender itself. They are a real simple part...

    C-Body/E-Body Radio Compatibility?

I think you should be able to find a decent "core" for under a $100. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a plain AM radio will work very nicely. I have a converted AM radio in my Barracuda and a converted AM-FM signal seeking version in my '70 300 that's kind of cool, but except for...

    Question on oil singers

IMHO, it doesn't matter if the slinger was in there to start with... or got left off etc. I would add one anyway. They do keep oil away from the seal and therefore keep any seepage to a minimum. They're cheap, easy to install (when its apart) and there's no downside to it being there. So why...
