    I stay with ported. Find the initial timing your engine wants with vacuum gauge on manifold vacuum and a tail back timing light. Great info on Tall Johns fun shop.

    Yes on 592. Remove bolt, one at a time. Clean and use thread sealer on bolts Retorque as per service manual

    You may have to reset the switch in the combination valve. You will find the info in the service free service manual at www.mymopar.com Are you able to bleed your brakes? This is a GM video but Chysler used the Kelsey Hays iron valve as well.

    Sounds good, but if engine not happy you just have to keep tweeking. Sounds like you know the ins and outs of the distributor pretty good. Hardest part I have with setting the curve is the tiny retainer spring down inside the shaft. I only use premium fuel in my old cars.

    Step up piston adjustment is an initial setting of 1.5 turns from fully seated. It is a very fine thread so be gental on finding bottom, I place my finger on the cross arm that connects the needles so I can feel when it bottoms.     I wish I had one of those near me. I bought a 30lb jug of R12 with about 20lbs remaining, went to use it a couple months later and it was empty. Uuggghhh. Lesson learned.
