    NOT MINE 1976 NYB

Those stickers on the speedo take me back...In Canada after the swap to the metric system in 1976 you could by packs of small round clear stickers to show what your speed was in KMs. They are removable. Most people did a terrible job sticking them on and they were all askew. This is one of the...

    400 vs 440 in a 76-78 New Yorker - noticeable difference?

In case anyone is interested, I keep my cars relatively stock but always with a "good tune" (timing plugs wires etc all in good condition, I go through them every season) on them and that is what achieved the numbers above. All my Formals had/ have TQs, however with LB retrofits to Mopar...

    400 vs 440 in a 76-78 New Yorker - noticeable difference?

I've owned many Formals with the B & the RB plant. My opinion is that you can definitely feel the torque of the 440 vs the 400. My 77 T&C always amazes me on road trips with MPG numbers that defy reason. I got 19.6 MPG (my all time best...I normally would get 18.8) on the prairies last time...

    Slant six c body

That Haze Green 68 looks just like the Fury I Slant 6 auto I used to own. It was a stripped down thing... radio delete, no PS, no PB, just a heater for those Canadian winters up here. Great cars.

Loving life! 2 years since my 67 Imperial GM full-size Disc Brake upgrade!

Does the Mopar Imperial rim clear? Or are you using GM rims...very interested in the shim and caliper bracket specs so that I can duplicate for my 68.

    If you could have

I love all Imperials stylistically, so it's very hard for me to pick a particular year but I will throw out some years I really super like? 33, 49, 51, 54, 55, 59, 60, 65, 68, 69, 73, 74, 75, 81, 90 So it's really down to colours and options: My preferences: I like Black, Blue, Brown, Green...

Your thoughts on paint color change 1966 Imperial convertible

I'm in favour of making the car what you want it to be. Life's too short to put up with compromises. That said, I go through a calculus when changing colours: The Shriner aspect has already been discussed...you'll lose some resale value changing it. That said I am changing my 68 Imperial...

NOT MINE ‘68 NYer Limo NOT MINE HIBID

It's a New Yorker grille for sure, rear is Newport. The Ford mirrors are the other cosmetic flaw to the NY touches.

For Sale 1974-78 C-Body Manual Right Hand Outside Mirror

This mirror is Dodge or Plymouth application, not Chrysler/ Imperial. Chrysler/ Imperial bases are not flat like this one, but curved to fit the body line of the door.

    Convertible Rear Speaker Grills ?

The Left hand one looks like it is for a Slab...looks the same as my 68 Imperial, except its, of course a different emblem bolted on.

    Auto temp 2 :(

By the way when the system is functioning, it's quite impressive. Example, One cool morning I had the car (77 T&C) set to "Vent" and the temp swing arm all the way to the left or 65 and noted that there was no fan action...I immediately panicked and thought that the Autotemp II gremlins had...

    1978 New Yorker build thread

About the Imperial vs NY masters and boosters. Boosters are interchangeable. The 50-50 Imperial master is required for the 4 wheel discs if you still have them...you risk running out of fluid to the rear calipers otherwise.

    Auto temp 2 :(

To be clear: AutoTemp II version 1.0 with the under hood servo/ coolant combo assembly ended in 73; AutoTemp II next gen, 2.0 whatever was 74-78, included separation of the leaky underhood assembly by putting the servo inside the car on the heater box. For years (literally) I struggled with...
