    Dumping gas

I was working on a 1982 Toyota truck with a webber carb 2 weeks ago. Extended crank when hot. After a test drive and a 5 minute soak, I observed fuel being pushed into the carb, flooding the engine and causing extended crank on hot start. Luckily, these trucks have a clear factory fuel filter...

no power to my compressor clutch

I have yet to get into diagnosing my a/c clutch power situation BUT now the clutch runs all the time! The only way to shut it off is in the "off" position on the heater switch. I am leaning towards a switch assembly if I cant clean it up.

    correct wipers

I ended up getting some what I believe to be period correct NOS Anco's from Ebay. I THINK Trico bought Anco in 2019. I will say, Trico has been less than helpful with this whole situation. It seems like nobody knows what's going on over there. I don't think there is much communication between...

    correct wipers

Has anyone had any luck in finding the correct wipers for these c-bodies? I am battling Trico over their classic wipers, which apparently only come in pin style with a cheezzy bayonet adapter. After multiple call, emails and pictures, no one at Trico seems able to tell me if they still make...

    Distributor rebuild

I was having some trouble getting consistent dwell readings and discovered my distributor bushings to be worn out. While waiting for parts I decided to disassemble it. After removing the roll pin for the spacer, I discovered 2 holes in the shaft. Does this look right? Has someone else been...

no power to my compressor clutch

Thanks, found the relay. I need to see if there is power to the switch now. I have had the ash tray assembly out of this thing about 10 times now. With the center console it is kind of a pain. You are correct, there isn't a hi/low pressure switch in this system. Maybe there is on auto temp...

no power to my compressor clutch

It is the stock set up. I know power is not present at the firewall. Before I dig into the switch, I want to try to locate the relay and see if there is power there. I don't know where the relay is.....

no power to my compressor clutch

No. I just charged it. I can run the compressor by applying 12volts and the a/c blows cold. I dont have any switches on my drier

no power to my compressor clutch

I am re-installing the a/c system in my 1968 New Yorker. I don't have power going to the compressor clutch with a/c turned on. In my wiring diagram it shows a "time delay relay " between the switch and the clutch. Where is this relay? Can it be bypassed?

    Diamond Back redline tires

Yeah, I have been using that ad to try to Photoshop some red lines on the tires. Pretty sad attempt on my part. Looks like a 2nd grader did it!!!!!!:rofl:

    Diamond Back redline tires

I now an doubting myself on the red lines on this car. I am certain on the Magnum 500's It is near impossible to find a picture of a black New Yorker with Magnum 500's for reference. I guess if I dont like the look of the red line tires then I could just flip them around.

    Diamond Back redline tires

also, strangely enough, the 225/75/15 tire size seems harder to find in red line tire. Seems like the Diamond Back tires are the best quality from what I am seeing here. I believe the Diamond back 3's in 235/70/15 with red lines mounted on a set of Wheel Vintiques Magnum 500 steel chrome wheels...
