    I'm scheduled for a heart cath on Monday. That will slow things up a little. Also had cataract surgery on my right eye about 3 weeks ago and will have the left eye done in April. Its been a busy time.

    engine\body ground strap.

    I'm beginning to think there was no body/frame ground strap used in 1961. I find no evidence in reference to one in the FSM or parts book.

    This is a example of a original OEM seat belt including NOS mounting hardware. The correct belt material is called (7 panel). Look close at it. The webbing material is usually available on ebay in many colors although all originals were a tan/brown color. Most trimmers won't stitch new sebbing...

    Belts for your 57 were only available through the factory accessory book over the counter. Placement is where ever is comfortable for you. Originals had a bolt with a loop in the floor with a large washer on the underside. The belt attached with a forged clip.

    I had both side vent window frames and pivots rechromed. It took me 4 1/2 days to reassemble them. Look good though.
