Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

Thank you @amazinblue82 for the deep dive into your fleet. I think I am going to hold off on the magnum purchase for now. New tires and reconditioned wheel covers will have to do for the time being. Thanks all for the help!

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

I appreciate the offer but the ones I have now are decent, just need some polish. I will keep you in mind if they don’t clean up well.

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

Yep…. That was the post I found that got me doubting this option (post #6). I have decent wheel covers on mine right now (1970 300 covers-since they came in 15”). I might spend some time reconditioning those instead of going with the Mag 500s. I’d even be open to mag 500 looking wheel covers.

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

As always @amazinblue82 thank you for your advice. I continued down the wheel rabbit hole and am seeing there may be an issue with many of the aftermarket 15x7 magnum 500 wheels hitting the rather large budd disc brake calipers I have on my ‘68 300. Anybody out there have success with this. The...

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

I am ready to pull the trigger on some Magnum 500s. 15x7 5/4.5 pattern…. Would 4” backspacing work? I see most are 4.25”, but I found some 4” at a way better price.

Where was this Mopar Brochure/Ad Photo shot?

I feel like I owe you all an apology for going silent on this thread (and site for that matter). Looks like you put up some great puzzles lately. I started a new job a few months back which rearranged my priority list a bit. Good luck with that commercial ad. Aside from me saying ‘somewhere...

Gas, EV, Hydrogen, Diesel comeback....Which way are we going?

This was my attempt at trying to offset my ‘carbon footprint’. Then when my oldest started driving, we added a Bolt EUV to the fleet. Never thought I would actually use all three bays of my garage. Not pictured is the F-150…. I like to think of the fleet as being ‘carbon neutral’. (And yes...

Gas, EV, Hydrogen, Diesel comeback....Which way are we going?

What happens when you reverse the order? Fill the cup to the edge then put some ice cubes in it?? I think that is the concept with sea levels going up. But I do get what you’re saying about putting the ice in first. I run that experiment almost every day around 6PM with some gin and tonic. :)

    Reverse light switch.

A little bit of adjusting with the column in Reverse and …. SUCCESS!! This pin feels way more secure than all the versions of the 3D printed versions I made. I think that metal center pin is the key.

But I was not going to take out the column, so I used my biggest Chanel lock pliers and it just barely fit…. Switch reinstalled:

    Reverse light switch.

The part came in this week. A rare rainy May day here so I went for it. The instructions call for removing the steering column because the metal pin needs to be tamped in (it is a tight fit).

Please help me ID this wire

With the way that wire is labeled, my guess is it is aftermarket. And being 10 gauge, my second guess is it was an attempt at the ammeter bypass. (Just guessing though). And when you say ammeter bypass, you can’t do it without tagging @cbarge

2023 the year of no progress for the ‘68

Isaiah, If sound financial advice is what you’re looking for here, then get out of the old car hobby. From a purely financial perspective, and as much as I hate to say it, Jakter is not wrong. You will likely not come out ahead financially speaking on these cars. Now if you are here for...

2023 the year of no progress for the ‘68

@Isaiah Estrada I inherited my 68 300 when I was 24 or so. I enjoyed it while I could, but then the engine really went south and it was going to be way too expensive for me to repair it. Then I met the love of my life at 27, got married, and had a couple of great kids. The car just sat… and...
