that was my 2nd sunroof 78 Salon ( im on my 3rd) all Salons were silver clear coat paint w silver vinyl roofs, that car's roof had been dyed red. in 78 they didnt offer the burgundy interior, it was now bordello red ! and Salons had either pale gray or bright red interiors like the car...
you can see the rear moldings are the thicker ones used in 78 when fender skirts became an option unlike other years when they were standard. when the thicker rear moldings were used, the front ones were matching thickness as well
ive had 6 sunroof formals ( and other brand s/r cars) ; i live in the pacific north west which is considered a rain forest.
ive never had 1 with a leaky sun roof. most of these cars were not parked in garages.
unfortunately the records will only show how many in a certain color or with a certain option, not how many in that color with a specific option and what color of vinyl top.
whats so significant about a white NYB coupe ?
for 78 there were 9,624 NYB coupes built, of those
Spinnaker White was the 2nd most popular colour for 78 NYB coupes
there were 1848 white NYB coupes made.
