Soft lines for ‘73 disc brake conversion? / What Steel Rims Work?

They would but I would look for factory steelies at a fraction of the price.

    Caliper beyond repair?

I'd at least try it after honing. That's just me. I like to make stuff work.

    Drums to Disc...Today's Pricing

I've got enough disc brake parts to last a lifetime.

    Drums to Disc...Today's Pricing

I'm factoring in roughly 125 for a core and 225 for a trip to the booster exchange. The only ones that are hard to find imo are the dual diaphragm 69/70 Bendix

    Raybestos. Great stuff.

    Drums to Disc...Today's Pricing

Missed that. So figure add about another 350-400 for someone in need of the right booster and a rebuild.

    Drums to Disc...Today's Pricing

You need to source a disc brake booster and factor in rebuild to the total cost here

Did I Get the Wrong Booster

Itll bolt in. The driver fender support brace will be in the way. Otherwise you are golden.

Will an electric impact wrench give satisfactory results vs air wrench?

I've had my Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2" since 2017. If it won't bust it loose you need heat. If that doesn't help you need a torch. I'll never use an air impact again.

    Torsion Bar Color

I've got green ones and black ones. It's gonna be based on the thickness of the bar if I had to guess.

    Show me your raised whites!....please

RWL is the only way I like to roll...

    Which wheels?

Road wheels would look better with the correct center caps. Dog dishes look good. Never put the full wheel covers back on the car.

Do the 1969-71 Disc Brake Systems use one or two metering blocks?

I bought a bunch of NOS/random Polara stuff from a guy not too long ago, and one of them was included. Now I know it will work on my 70s with discs. Thank you.

Do the 1969-71 Disc Brake Systems use one or two metering blocks?

Do you have a part number for your distribution block? To the left in the photo. 3420022?

To stagger or not to stagger? That is the question.

    235 70 15 and 275 60 15 are both 28" tires IIRC

    road wheels?

I've heard they came on trucks and vans as well.
  18. 71Polara383

    road wheels?

I agree. I'm gonna say there's no reason to believe they were all one way or the other. I've honestly never seen that plastic cover. Thanks for the lesson. Some people don't even believe 15x7 road wheels exist...
