    Sounds like it was simply defective unless on some rare chance you socket or fuse was bad? I'd stick with the Anker branded one, they make a decent product.

    Anker is a decent brand & I have several cars with the FM transmitter adapters that also have a voltage meter feature and they seem to work well. I think a quick glance at the voltage can be reassuring and also may help in some quick troubleshooting in a pinch!

    Here's a thought, how bout some LED headlights that look like originals (there may already be such a thing) certainly would draw less current and provide better light! My son put some on his older Jeep Cherokee and they work great though they look goofy.

    Hello, did you ever figure out the fuel gauge issue? I'm thinking my float is done with or the float is stuck to the bottom of the tank as everything else checks out OK.     Yep, took my sons 96 Jeep cylinder down as the cylinder was broken, the guy keyed a new one and the same key fits the dorrs/hatch like it never happened. I remember having cars with 3 keys, PIA!

    Just have a proper locksmith do it! Not a newbie either, old school guys have the smarts and the tools (master keys) so you can get a new key made that fits the doors/trunk.
