    Need to bypass my heater core.

    Those rubber caps are not reliable. The end will break off sooner than you would think and at the worst possible time. It would be a cleaner look, but it would be a time bomb.

    A/C Cutoff Switch

    I have a vacuum switch I removed from a 75ish Virginia State Police pursuit vehicle. It was a 440 car and had a vacuum cutoff switch connected to the intake. When you stomped on the gas, the A/C compressor cut off. I think I still have that little bugger somewhere.

    I got one exactly like that from a 73 Chrysler Newport. It is a factory piece. I would love to find a NEW/NOS one.

    thermostat directionals

    Thermostats don't snap open and closed. It is more gradual opening and closing. At 180 (or whatever) it will basically be fully open.

    The 180 thermostat is the one I use in all my B and RB engines, so I would go with that one.
