    Brake Drums Wont Budge

Ok, thanks guys for taking the time to help me out. I'll try the HF tools. If they break, I can just learn a lesson and go buy a national brand one for more money or I might be able to find a good deal on feebay or craigslist. I'll go try HF tomorrow. Everyone have a great weekend.

I can buy all those tools and a bearing packer at Harbor Freight or should I buy the more expensive ones at AutoZone?

    Brake Drums Wont Budge

Ok, thanks for the advice about the bearings and seals and things. I'll try to take one off this weekend. I went to the Mecum Auction today. Wow! There were some very rare cars there. Many were rare because of their factory paint. There were many Mopars there, including a '57 Desoto Adventurer...

    Brake Drums Wont Budge

Thanks, Big John, I'll go try that now. I bought some jack stands and an aluminum racing jack from Harbor Freight last weekend just for this job. I'm so stupid sometimes. Brake Drums Wont Budge

Hey, I looked through 6 pages of info in this section and I didn't find a question regarding this problem, so . . . I was trying to get my first drum off of my car a few days ago and I tried using a hammer and PB Blaster and I couldn't get them to move. I did notice that the drum didn't turn...

    Budd Brake Rotors--- REPRODUCTION !!!

I meant calipers. Right. I don't need any carbon fiber stuff. I will have some fiberglass panels made if no one makes them for the '66 Fury line, like the Sport Fury, which has the same doghouse and should have the same trunk lid and bumpers. I need to get the weight down on this Fury I am...

    Budd Brake Rotors--- REPRODUCTION !!!

I will have a '66 Fury which weighs about 3,600 lbs. or so. Less than my mom's old '75 Cutlass Supreme 2-door. Drums might not be all that bad, but maybe I should at least replace the fronts with discs, the aluminum discs you suggested. That is a good idea. I might go ahead and do them all...

    Budd Brake Rotors--- REPRODUCTION !!!

Stainless Steel Brake Corp.! Ohh. Are drum brakes lighter than disc set-ups? I want to shed some weight on my '66.

    Budd Brake Rotors--- REPRODUCTION !!!

What is SSBC and was Budd a supplier for Chrysler back then? I guess these will be in different sizes? Drum brakes are lighter than disc ones?
