The only thing spoiling that beautiful find is that UGLY tach hung off the steering column. Got to remove it!!!

    My Parent's '65 Newport.

So special to me, as my Grandma had a 1965 Plymouth Fury the same color. My sister and I rode around St. Louis in it. I am now the proud owner of that car. Bet you wish you could find that old Newport!

Did 1965 Furies have a passenger side mirror option?

Thanks for this definitive answer. Wonder if the dealer took the passenger door apart to install the optional mirror, or whether it was just installed with short sheet metal screws?

Did 1965 Furies have a passenger side mirror option?

Thanks! I wondered about that. I have seen the two post mirror listed as the correct one, but the original on my Fury was the single post variety.

Did 1965 Furies have a passenger side mirror option?

One thing I miss on my 1965 Fury III is a rear-view mirror on the passenger side. Anyone know if this was a factory or dealer-installed option? If so, where can I find repro items or an original I can restore?

Was Passenger Side Mirror an Option on 1965 Fury?

So the toggle is different. That would be obvious. How hard is it to take apart? So the mirror itself is the same size A,B and C bodies, and 65-66? Did you find these mirrors that you linked to be of good quality, Big_John?

Was Passenger Side Mirror an Option on 1965 Fury?

Thanks for these references. Plenty of vendors advertise for "66 and up A & B bodies." What separates the A and B bodies' mirrors from the C bodies" mirrors? Anything? And what changed in 1966 from 1965? I am tempted to bite and buy a left side remote for my 1965 Fury. Can't be too much...

Was Passenger Side Mirror an Option on 1965 Fury?

Thanks for these pics. Always wondered what the Mopar remote looked like, since I was familiar with the Ford product. Have you seen any of these for sale I might be able to restore and install in my Fury?

Was Passenger Side Mirror an Option on 1965 Fury?

Thanks, Joe. It is interesting to find out how dealers upped their income by adding things. Headlight delay relay was another one later on. Some things have been improved over the years, and mirrors are one of them. I would like to have convex glass like modern mirrors that give a wider field...

    V-belt for power steering

(From a dentist) On humans it is preferable to have teeth. On drive belts for old cars it really does not matter. But seriously, someone told me that the toothed belts are supposed to dissapate heat better.

Was Passenger Side Mirror an Option on 1965 Fury?

I am trying to restore my 1965 Fury III to show quality but wanted a passenger side rear view mirror for safety and convenience. There is a guy who sells reproductions that are left-right identical. I am tempted to install one, but do any of you know if it was a factory option on this trim line?

Wondering about future value of C body cars

How much the car appreciates in the future depends on how much polticians debase our money supply. But if its nominal price doubles in 10 years, and the the price of everything else doubles as well, did the car value really "appreciate," or did the measuring stick for value jus shrink by half...

    Confused about OEM Hubcaps!

Thanks for the offer. Just before I read your response, I ordered a set of wheel covers on E-Bay for $59. Not with spinners, but definitely an upgrade over the doggy dishes that came with my Fury!

    Confused about OEM Hubcaps!

Don't know what the difference between a hubcap and wheel cover is, but I will use the first term. Love my 1965 Plymouth Fury III, all original, and thought it was top of the trim line for that year. But I hate the original "dog dish" hubcaps, pictured in the photo. They are scraped up and need...

Thank you for much for this information. Hope the aftermarket fasteners will hold the piece as securely. I also appreciate this auto body resource you referenced.

Can Anyone Show Me a Photo of Their 65 Fury Horn on the Radiator Support?

Thanks 300 RaG! A picture is indeed worth a thousand words!

Can Anyone Show Me a Photo of Their 65 Fury Horn on the Radiator Support?

Maybe THAT is why they would not fit in front! But if I recall, the tack-welded nuts are BEHIND the radiator support, which made me believe they were mounted in FRONT!

Can Anyone Show Me a Photo of Their 65 Fury Horn on the Radiator Support?

The broken horn was taken off the car and lost, and I can't remember how it was mounted. I located the mounting holes in the radiator support on the passenger side. I bought a NOS horn off E-Bay that was supposedly for a Plymouth Fury. The horns' mounting brackets were bent at a 90 degree...

Need Details on Trim for Trunk Lid of 1965 Fury III

I am reassembling a 1965 Fury III after years of it being apart. Some details of the trunk lid trim are hazy! 1. Were the embossed PLYMOUTH letters are the trunk center trim painted originally? I had some dents pounded out and the piece repolished, and can see no hint of paint. Don't think...

Where does the Air Cleaner Decal go on a 1965 Fury?

Thanks guys, for all your helpful replies. Yes it was the yellow one with red letters in all the pictures. Looks like it was one side or the other of the air cleaner. Never knew there were so many colors of valve covers! Sure glad I powder coated my air cleaner after seeing these photos! (Except...
