    Carlisle 2024

Others I know who come from the west coast, or other points far away, fly into Washington DC's Dulles Airport (IAD). Either that or the Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI), may be the cheapest airport in the region to fly into. Dulles Airport is just a two hour drive from Carlisle. Rent a Mopar...

Maryland International Raceway Oct 22 2023

Last time I went was in 2012. No idea what the event is like now. As I recall, there were maybe thirty cars in the show and maybe twenty racing. If I lived closer, I would go every year. But its a bit of a hike for me. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.381946641852392&type=3

Links Bridge Run (Maryland, October 8, 2022)

Thanks for the invite. I don't take my old cars anywhere near the beltway or 270 any more (since I moved from the DC suburbs to a more rural county west of the mountain). Don't like driving my modern vehicles in the DC traffic either, but I do drive a Cummins Dodge for work, hauling a single car...

2022 Sully Antique Car Show (Sterling, VA: June 19)

Glad you made it to the Winchester show. June 4th was a rain date, as the original scheduled day was rained out. My local club, Shenandoah Region AACA, puts the show on. As long as I'm taking pictures at the show, for the club, they don't ask me to park cars or be a judge.

2022 Sully Antique Car Show (Sterling, VA: June 19)

Saw your New Yorker at the Apple Blossom Antique car show in Winchester on June 4th too. Didn't know it belonged to anyone here. I had my white 66 Sport Fury at that show. But there were other C-bodies as well.

2022 Sully Antique Car Show (Sterling, VA: June 19)

I took over 400 pictures. Guessing almost 400 cars were in the show and car corral. This year I took my turquoise 68 Barracuda convertible.

2022 Sully Antique Car Show (Sterling, VA: June 19)

I always enjoy the Sully show. Glad that it's finally back on after two years of Covid. Below is a link to my pictures from the 2019 Sully show (over 300 photos). Not sure if people who aren't on Facebook will be able to view them or not. Those who travel from out of the area to attend should...

Creamery Run (Leesburg, VA to Potomac, MD - Saturday Oct. 10, 2020 2:30-5PM)

Great photos! Sounds like a fun time (except for that one wrong turn). Glad to hear the rain held off. I went outside that day and the weather was perfect for a comfortable drive with the top down. Sorry I missed it. Had the car washed and ready to go. Left it outside for the weekend and now its...

Creamery Run (Leesburg, VA to Potomac, MD - Saturday Oct. 10, 2020 2:30-5PM)

So yesterday I washed the (non-C body) car in preparation for today's event. Then my buddy who rents a room from me came home from a doctor visit for what he thinks is a lingering sinus infection. Doctor is testing him for Covid and since he had complained of some chest congestion, his doctor...

Creamery Run (Leesburg, VA to Potomac, MD - Saturday Oct. 10, 2020 2:30-5PM)

I ask, as one local buddy here in Berryville is having similar carb issues to mine with his 66 Coronet, so if he comes, he would probably be in his 60 Buick convertible (or a 72 Electra if its too cold for the top down on the 60), and another local buddy who has a 69 Dart convertible, is more...

Creamery Run (Leesburg, VA to Potomac, MD - Saturday Oct. 10, 2020 2:30-5PM)

Thanks for the invite. Looks interesting. I'm in Berryville, about a half hour west of Leesburg. My 66 Fury has been down for a long time with carb issues with both rebuilt and remanufactured Stromberg 2bbl (currently have a remanufactured Stromberg on it, but still not right). If I can make it...

    Should I go to Carlisle?

Chrysler Carlisle in July is always worth the trip, but with Carlisle being only two hours away for you, its worth it to go to Fall Carlisle in October to see if there's anything that interests you in the car corral or in the auction outside gate #3. You might find something at Fall Hershey as well.

    Don Garlits Show - 2016

I saw your 300 at the show. How much did the Auto Train cost for you and the car? I wanted to buy the 66 Fury vert in the car corral, but my buddy had bought a 69 Dart convertible the day before and we were already trailering it back to northern Virginia with his truck. Was thinking about the...

    Don Garlits Show - 2016

I made it to the Gartlits show for the first time ever on Saturday. Nice show. There were alot more vendors than I expected, but I didn't buy anything. The 66 Fury vert in the car corral was mighty tempting, but my buddy and I are already towing a 69 Dart convertible home to Virginia, when we...

    show field passes, Carlisle.

I would call Betsy back first. Its very possible that they may not issue a new sticker until you turn in the incorrect one.

    show field passes, Carlisle.

Technically, its the numerical designation for the "class". Its not the row, and it could only be the spot if your car is the only one in the class.
