    newbie looking at 76 newyorker

Convince the bidders that a ''tilted' and ''wedged'' Vic' is much better (provided you can change the ''Watt Links'' and replace the aluminium ''cradle on'' '03 and up's ) and less expensive. Tell them they can have the bumper (and throw in a ''pointy'' if you can), then save the wagon. :70s_rule:

Newbbie !974 Gran Fury owner Can't find out much info on the car.

I call :bs_flag:the only reason you are looking for info is because you don't know what to ask for it. If the car was truly growing on you, it wouldn't matter how many were produced. Take those ugly wheels off of it and it will be more of a "looker" to real mopar fans than it is now. The only...

Yes and Yes. I used the '78 wiper crank arm, and welded a '77 arm to it. Eliminating the '78 cam.

    1977 New Yorker Commercial

Alright now I'm confused. So only the 4dr. hardtop NYB's and '74-'75 Imp. 4drs are ''Formals''. No 2drs are. What about hardtop 4dr. sedan Newports.? same roof line but no Lavaiere straps. :confused2:

    Not 1978 Newport brake pads.

That bumper looks great. I see you also have one of those hood ornaments with the missing shield. Good thing otherwise Bob would be trying to snag it.

What wheels would look good on a Formal NY'er?

Thanks Bob. If you look at the first (police) wheel you can see the ''nubs'' that hold the dog dish cap on. The Magnum doesn't have those.

What wheels would look good on a Formal NY'er?

If you search Mopar police car wheels and '79 Dodge Magnum GT wheels, you can see the difference.

What wheels would look good on a Formal NY'er?

225/75's or 70's are closer to the recommended size than 235's. Check your door sticker, and do a comparison.

What wheels would look good on a Formal NY'er?

Police pursuit airfoil is what they are called. They were made for ''Police package'' cars from the mid to late 70's to somewhere in the 80's. I think they were designed to help keep the brakes cool. I have them on my Newport. The coolest ones were on Dodge magnums and Nascar edition Aspens from...

I can see how that makes sense, if your gonna paint it like a GM you may as well use GM parts.:rolling: :poke:
