The cool thing about this car is now I got a chance to see if feels going down the road with it. I have pretty good visibility out of it, but I need to stack a few pillows on the seat and I needed my requisite pieces of 2x4 duct taped to the pedals. I have wayyyyyy better visibility out of...

I drove it around a farm after doing some more tuning ..... holy cow!!! It has a ton of power. I might just be conditioned with my daily driver slant six car but the 383 in this car has some power and its just waiting for more TLC to unleash more. I am smiling ear to ear after that ride...

I had to switch the alternator out for a square back, dual field unit. I am having trouble with the non a/c brackets because with lower bolt hole , which was formerly the a/c idler pulley has a broken bolt way into the block.

The old parts I think it's the original distributor with a 67 date. It was running rough last few days but now so smooth so I'm convinced the points needed attention.

The kit came with a very ugly orange ECU that I think will blend in better after I spray it black. I had to mount it upside down so the wires can miss the torsion bars for the hood.

So I installed my Chinese electronic ignition set. So far so good, I was able to time the distributor in and get timing that holds. It started right up. I switched the voltage regulator for one of those nifty ones from Ebay that look exactly like the originals but have the solid state inside

I for one would like to know. Only thing I can think is that I know the car was going to be a lowrider by the previous owner..... maybe some kind of mod for that???? I am sure glad this lowrider was broke and I was able to save this car from that embarrassment. I intend to go back to an...

Strange thing is that it steers fine. I have been driving the car on private farm land and I didn't notice anything off by driving it but now that I decreased it, I don't get why they would have done that at all.

After getting done with the first round of degreaser, I found something a little odd. Not sure what is going on with the steering coupler, but it looks like it was welded at some point. This car has a ton of issues because of ghetto repairs and mods. It might take awhile to reverse the...

Today was a fairly decent warm day. If you consider 68 degrees warm. So I power washed some of the grease off. Needs a few rounds with the power washer but I can see some areas of the original turquoise engine paint.

I ordered a new non a/c alternator bracket set. I am going to have to address the pulleys. I think the water pump pulley is different for non a/c.

So in the last few days I spent some time removing the a/c stuff. I made the decision to go non a/c because I rarely use the a/c in cars that have it. I have been daily driving a dart since 2012 without a/c. It might get in the way of a possible 440 swap...... big maybe. For now, when I...

So luckily FCBO exists and it is a way to gain knowledge about these cars and parts. So thanks to @C Body Bob I now have some parts to reverse the low rider syndrome. Yes, it's a syndrome, the only word I can think to describe it. So now i have some work to dig into the dash and get...
