Who here has classic A, B, or E- bodies in addition to your C-body?

Never had an A body. Sold my E body and D150. Still got my B, C and Forward look along with our daily drivers. Wife's 2000 Durango and my 05 300C. No room for more. 2 stalls on the house and 3 stalls in my shop.

Is anyone else depressed looking at new vehicles?

    I don't think so.....My 05 300C don't complain when I don't buckle up. Maybe the newer ones do.

Is anyone else depressed looking at new vehicles?

A lot of things need to change before I would start looking at new cars. The list of issues is way too long. Starting with prices being way out of line but worse than that are the down the road woes. I was standing in line last week at an O'reillys Auto Parts when the guy at the counter told a...

    People can't drive!

I learned many years ago that you have to drive for everyone else on the road besides yourself. I agree that it is worse than before because of the more vehicles and drivers these days. However, since Covid came into play, at least here in Wisconsin, new drivers don't even have to take a driving...

    Mopar-related images

There were a lot of people including the Federal Government that couldn't figure it out. They pretty much outlawed the push button feature when they came out with a law standardizing shift mechanisms in the mid 60's.

A Funny Thing Happened to Me on the Way to the DMV!

This comment reminded me of dealing with the problem of kids stealing the chrome caps for their bikes. I remember a time years ago I drove my 78 Dodge truck into Juarez Mexico while vacationing in Texas. A kid on a bike was riding along side as my family and I drove into a parking lot. He told...

    Craig (Mobileparts)

Wow! I just read through this whole thread. As if Craig has not had enough of a hard row to hoe, now his legal team abandons him. However, it sounds like they were not up to the task anyway. Hang in there Craig. Hard work usually pays off with big dividends. Here is hoping the best is yet to...

The biggest load of bs car advice, fearing for the future of auto knowledge

For all the reasons you just related to........IMO, the need for the Iso-heat will never go away. Just because you didn't witness a fuel tanker in the area surely don't mean you are safe to refuel. Like I said before, Because of my past experiences, I add a bottle to every other tankful in the...

You may be right about the additive not needed in ethanol gas but I have had a problem with my 05 300 sputtering in the winter with the ethanol **** in it so I still add some from time to time in both my car and my wife's Durango. Around here in the winter snow blows around and gets into the...

The biggest load of bs car advice, fearing for the future of auto knowledge

Your issue sounds like some moisture (water) in the fuel. It wouldn't hurt to dump a bottle of Iso-heat or gas-line antifreeze in with a fill up. Even at 40 degrees you can get moisture buildup. I buy a dozen bottles when they are on sale and add one every once-in-a-while when the weather get...

The biggest load of bs car advice, fearing for the future of auto knowledge

Stealing a car that has been started by remote is not as easy as one would think. The doors are locked and the alarm is set just as if it were not running. If someone breaks in, the alarm goes off and the engine shuts down. I agree it is illegal to leave your car idling while you go buy a six...

The biggest load of bs car advice, fearing for the future of auto knowledge

Most newer cars have remote start from the factory simply for the warm-up process. I wonder if that Firestone guy sprung that info on the car manufacturers. My 99 Chrysler LHS had remote start and it got used every morning and evening before I drove it during the winter months in Wisconsin. If...

A beef about car show judging categories. Your take?

I don't know how or why the Chevies got to be so popular but it seems to be the same everywhere. When I used to hang around for the trophy distribution it did seem like if there was a Chevy in the class, it won most of the time. It must not have happened all the time though because my Mopars all...

    side trim guestion

It is called "engine turning or Jeweling" If you need to replace it you will be using a tape since no one is reproducing the metal strips that the factory used. There are some engine turned metalic tapes being made but are getting hard to find these days. Another lost art.

What's The Cheapest You Remember A Gallon of Gas?

I remember in 1962 when I first got my license, gas prices were around $.23 per gallon in Minnesota and during price wars they would drop to $.16 for a week or so. When I joined the Navy in 64, I remember gas prices in San Diego being 33.9 cents. I thought, Wow! what a rip off! I don't remember...

    Mouse Deterrent

That issue is akin to why I don't like D-CON. They eat the poison then go somewhere to die. I hate finding them someplace like you did. Much better to use the bucket of water method where you can get the whole gang and they can be disposed of before they can run off and hide. My overhead garage...

    Feel like a damned criminal!!!???

Wow. I always thought MOPAR people were smarter than the average person. Guess I was wrong. I can't believe all the idiot comments from supposedly educated people that insist on being part of the problem. Napoleon was right when he said, "The worst thing you can do is educate your people."
