I finally have my '68 Newport home and stored in my newly expanded garage. It has a 2 barrel setup up now, but I have correct 4 barrel AVS and iron manifold for this application. My question is about all the linkages that I need to make this work. I prefer original stuff as opposed to cobbling something up. Can you guys tell me what I need and what years apply so I can begin searching. Does anyone here have a '68 383-4 they are parting out? Thanks, Mark:eek:ccasion14:

68 uses a 3 piece kick down linkage set-up. You have to use a set-up from a big block between 63-68. The later 69-73, one piece kick down will not work against the firewall on the 68. I know this because I tried using a 71 440 kick down set-up on my 440 in my 68 T/C wagon. I eventually found a complete set-up from a 64(?) 413....does't "look" 100% correct, but functions fine.
