It seems most police spec. cars have a trunk light and remote trunk release.

A very knowledgeable Mopar cop car friend of mine who lives about 2 hours from me had a friend do some digging, my '73 was sold to the CNE in Ottawa from the same dealer as the Ottawa Police fleet. He figures that it just got tacked onto the fleet but with a different option sheet. The Ottawa cruisers were VERY close in optioning. The car seems to have one big cloud of mystery following it.

Oh well, I love it. It's mine now.

I just enjoy it too much.

Put together new, better sized rubber to hopefully stop the rubbing issue on turns, and bottoming out of the tires. Instead of 235/75R15's all the way around on 15x6.5 H rims in the front and 15x7.5 Ramcharger rims in the back, it now has 235/70R15's in the rear and 225/70R15's in the front with 15x6.5 H rims all the way around, with an older 15x6 H rim in the trunk on a 225/70R15 as a spare.

Well, lots has been going on with this one.......

68 days till Moparfest, as a backup, I have new axle's, springs and fenders on order for my Car trailer. But......I'm not giving up, you guys may find this a surprise, but I don't give up....

So I drove 2100 miles to get this car fenders! (okay it was our vacation too!) (I included some photo's from the trip, some friends made me feel at home in NC with a Fury III convertible and a 90's GM truck, and we had the meeting of the Mopar minds in Monasses Virginia)

They are 500 times better then what i have.....

I also finished up some rims and mounted up all the rubber.....Every rim on this car is a correct HD "H" stamped 15x6.5 JJ wheel as a Police package would have.....Yes I'm a bit anal about authenticity.....

I pulled the transmission which wasn't easy thanks to the jack-wagon who welded the Eff'n trans crossmember in when they swapped the stub on this car..........***-hat's.....nothing like man-handling a 727 out by yourself on your back in your parents driveway in the dark.....

so again going off the previously mentioned anality i have.........I spent a lot of money....time....effort to piece together a correct and decent radio set up for the car......turns out they went to the GE Mastr II in '73......oh well.......

Oh....my previously mentioned Fenders.......as a Canadian, rustfree might as well be "all-nude" I mean I get all excited the same way.......either that or I'm getting older.........either way....

Then this afternoon I tore apart the A727 or TF8 as they are known in the tranny world (Pun intended)................my partner in crime photographed as I took it apart.....I ain't perfect and I'm bound to forget where things came from...........what i found was less then pleasant......It needs rebuilt......found clutch material in the pan and inside everything......kickdown band isn't bad, forward band is eff'd........pan isn't much better......took a straightedge to it.....holy **** it's about as straight as a wet noodle.......oh well.........turns out it's not even the original, it's a '74 727......

Congrats Nick. Well done. You're all set for a secure future. Doing what you love, he'll that's not work, it's a passion. Congrats again.

Congratulations Nick. In an industry where it can be hard to separate yourself from the herd in a resume, I definitely recommend chasing all the paper you can... even if it is just resume fodder. I have no idea what your local version of this stuff is, but the license seems like it should be a big step in the right direction. I know many big employers require 21 and more often today 25 year olds due to insurance requirements. Keep doing what you're doing and your career will hit it's "sweet spot" where you are making good pay and have the option to go almost anywhere.

BTW... the work on Dennis is coming along nicely. You will eventually get him back to trustworthy status and won't have to sweat the bigger trips quite as much.

congrats on your certificate. that should open man doors for you.
congrats also on finding fenders that clean. they rusted even in desert conditions.

Heads up on your tranny rebuild. I had the clutch material through out my transmission too. I had to replace the torque convertor too, because the crap couldn't be cleaned out of it.

Wow, it looks cold there. It's cold here too by our standards.

Say, what was that NOS oil pressure gauge made for that you threw into your instrument cluster a while back? Looks like it might fit my dash too in place of the clock. Do you have a part number by chance?

Its meant for a 72/73 Plymouth Fury/Dodge Polara police package.

They are getting to the point of rarity now.

Wow it's been a while since I checked this thread. The motor sounds healthy. BTW a big congrats on your C ofQ!!!!!!!
Thank you. It's nice to have.

Anyway I realized that I hadn't updated this all summer. I did quite a bit.....
