If I'm not mistaken the painted ones were for the full size vans and trucks. The aluminum were with the Plymouth word script or holes were for the squads. My '70 Fury III ex squad has the coveted stainless steel ones with the Plymouth word script.

I just know they are all stampted the same. The finish is whatever your imagination limitation is

Actually, Pete, I think the Plymouth-embossed ones ended in the early 70s, those were stainless. They dropped the lettering and carried the plain stainless type thru at least 75 for both Ply and Dodge, and then aluminum ones started for the vans/trucks. Copcars kept with stainless but got the holes, starting in maybe 76 or77?
