Well folks, I first would like to thank @T-revorNobody for originally posting about this car, but I especially would like to thank @1968Chryslers as he sent the craigslist ad post to my stepdad before I even saw it and re-posted it on the site here. My stepdad sold his red 2005 HEMI Magnum R/T station wagon to actually buy this car. Here is the history of the car......

Introducing "The Great Pumpkin", an original FK3 Burnt Orange on FK3 Burnt Orange 22,000 mile survivor 1970 Fury III 4-door hardtop originally bought from Blackstone Valley Chrysler/Plymouth in Lincoln R.I. by Mr. Lavecchia. It is in my opinion a survivor in just about every meaning and sense of the word. The car was found by the 2nd owner stored away for 20 years in North Providence R.I. who bought it from the family of Mr. Lavecchia. The car is a late build car being built June 6th 1970, it is a “Built To Spec For” car and is also a “Lease Bid Sale” car. We found not one but 2 build sheets under the rear seat in the car, but unfortunately the car did not come with a window sticker. We do plan to have one made up for it though.

The previous 2nd owner who coincidentally has the same first name as my stepdad, said he purchased the car 3 years ago in about 2019 and only drove it on weekends. He said he was selling it, and will soon be selling a VW Beetle because he wants to buy a convertible.

The black powder coated rims are something the previous owner added on. He said he coated the rims and was going to put the original hubcaps (which came with the car) back on over them, but after they came back from the coating shop he said they looked too nice to scratch up.

When he put the car for sale and my stepdad inquired about the car, he told my stepdad that he had a buyer on the line for it but the thing is that buyer told the owner his plans for the car which was to stick a 440 in it and technically make it a race car. That said my stepdad said I'll offer you more money than the potential buyer and I won't ruin the car I will keep it original, and that sealed the deal. My stepdad ended up buying the car on June 5th of this year.

Since my stepdad got the car he has since replaced the rear shocks to bring the *** end up a bit as it was sitting a bit low for him, and is currently putting on new whitewall tires with 15x6 rallye road wheels. Future plans include rebuilding or replacing the carburetor (but not sure yet because he hasn't said), repaint the top of the engine to make it look nicer, replace the original single exhaust with dual exhaust, replace the headlights with brighter ones to see better, and maybe add electronic ignition also.

The goal is to hopefully have it on display in the survivor tent next year in Carlisle.

Beautiful! I was wrong about seeing this one before. The K3 70 hardtop survivor i saw at Atlantic city had a black vinyl top. An L code with burnt orange interior.
That was around 2005/06.

Congrats are in order for scoring such a pumpkin — PM43G0F245410 is something really special! What’s the plan for the hood emblem?

The car is undercoated EVERYWHERE, EVEN UNDER PARTS OF THE HOOD!

Notice it says General Electric on the bottom of the lights.......

The car still has its original exhaust on it even, BUT it has a couple holes which ain't cool! That will however as mentioned be replaced with dual exhaust in the future, the plan is to most likely put Magna-Flow mufflers on it and factory style looking turn down tips

Gear ratio tag, why does it look like it says 2.71? I would think it would be 2.76, maybe it is and I didn't scratch it off enough......

The chrome is pristine on this car......

What’s the plan for the hood emblem?

Most likely just leave it alone, my stepdad seems to think it looks NOS. Maybe try removing just the top Plymouth logo part and leaving the rest of the chrome bottom IF anything. We are going to get rid of that stupid and ugly 3rd brake light though, we tried it and it doesn't work anyway.

It LOOKS (whether it has or not who knows) like this sticker has been replaced already, notice the mark on the air cleaner it looks the sticker was moved slightly down and over a bit......

The car still has its original (so it looks like) Chrysler Corp spark plug wires too! As a side note the car still has its original Mopar belts that say Mopar on them that came with the car when my stepdad bought it so he says, I still have yet to see them though. When I see them I will get pictures.....

Are they original or reproduction wires ?

I would have to take a closer look, I am honestly not sure. I suppose they could be original because the car only has 22,000 miles BUT maybe they could be repop because it looks like it says GM on them.
