It LOOKS (whether it has or not who knows) like this sticker has been replaced already, notice the mark on the air cleaner it looks the sticker was moved slightly down and over a bit......View attachment 468533

The car still has its original (so it looks like) Chrysler Corp spark plug wires too! As a side note the car still has its original Mopar belts that say Mopar on them that came with the car when my stepdad bought it so he says, I still have yet to see them though. When I see them I will get pictures.....View attachment 468534

Is there a reason why the black piece under the hood turn signal is missing from the driver side? I have same car and my driver side piece is also missing. Did they not come with that one and only the passenger side??

I was wondering that myself and was going to actually ask @billyfury this question, my assumption is maybe because so the water from the rain from the outside fender turn signal doesn't get on the alternator?

Congratulations on the new car. I have been looking through my pictures of the car show from Fort Adams in Newport from 2 years ago, I am almost sure I have a picture of that car; but can't seem to find it. I remember it standing out with that color combination.

Thank you Mike! :thumbsup:, you can come see it when you come for that fender. If you have the picture and can find it from the car show I would love to have it to put it with the car.

I been debating making one for it because it seems out of place lol

Best posting I have read in ages. Congrats on your acquisition of "The Great Pumpkin," burnt orange is about the perfect shade for an early 70's car...…… That original owner invested VERY wisely in under-coating, pretty much a preservation necessity in RI.

Your photos had me nostalgic for the time I spent with the Navy in Newport, RI. The bridges I discovered soon after arriving made me glad I didn't bring a car to OCS with me, as driving them would have finished me off.

Best of all is being kept as is, and NOT turned into fodder for a muscle car project. Congrats.

Anybody know how many of these cars in this color are still around, I only know of this one.....

Looks like we got another and 3rd broadcast sheet under the front seat, it looks like it will NOT be easy to get out either.....

Spare tire pictures, it looks to be original. I thought the spares from the factory were Goodyears and NOT Firestones though?.....

I took one of the original hubcaps out of the trunk and laid it on the front powder coated rims to see and show everyone what it looks like. I may get a better picture when the car is outside.....

I'm getting pissed off. Where does it say all build sheets must be removed to operate vehicle.

Everyone hunts for build sheets and removes them, all of them , why? :wtf:

:BangHead::soapbox:

I removed them from both my Superbird and my Sport Fury to protect and preserve them. Just like us, these cars aren't getting any younger and leaving the build sheets in the car allows them to turn to dust just that much faster. I placed both of mine in plastic sleeves to protect them and made I copies to keep with the car. The original build sheets remain protected inside the house so they can last much, much longer than if they were left in the seat cushions.
