Chrysler of Canada

Very cool collection. The Canadian guys look pretty happy in that group shot.

I have to wonder how long those painters lived - no safeguards at all in some of the photos.

I got to tour the Bramalea Plant in Canada just before my 1997 Concorde was built - it was a very interesting tour.

I still have it - best car I ever owned.....................

We had a 2000 intrepid RT, great car.
The lack of protection was startling but not a surprise. My old bosses never once said anything about asbestos or other hazards. I feel it now. Cough cough.

Great pics!!
Especially like seeing the guys looking at the build sheets in the seats.

Looks like some guys had some protection for their mouths.

yea and that's not the low VOC stuff either, think its enamel or lacquer?

I believe Chrysler and Ford used enamel while GM used lacquer generally. Lacquer just didn't hold up over time as well IMO without crack lines and seemed to deteriorate more readily due to thinner coats generally.

Neat photos. On a related note, anyone have any magazine print ads from Chrysler Canada? I only really look for 1966 Chrysler ads, but all of the 1966 Chrysler ads I see are from the US, except for this one. I found this scan of it online somewhere, not an actual hardcopy.
