Hello all! I'm glad I stumbled across this forum, as I'm thinking of moving into C-body land in the near future. I'm new to C-Bodies, but not to Chrysler products. My first car was a 73 Challenger. It's in rough shape now, locked away in storage in North Carolina and destined for a well deserved resto-mod in the future. But growing up we had a herd of fun stuff between my brother and father. At one point, we had:
67 GTX
68 Super Bee
68 Road Runner
69 Road Runner
73 Challenger (mine)
Two 79 300s
I still love B- and E-bodies, but with a 7 year old I'm a little less "enthusiastic" in my driving and a little more constrained with my budget. So I'm thinking a nice mid-60s Fury or 300 would allow me to enjoy the big block fun at a modest price and give us something we can tinker on together, drive on weekends, etc. I'm looking forward to digging through the site once I find a suitable buildup candidate, and am sure I'll have PLENTY of questions about how to and parts availability!
 
Welcome to the party Shrewboy. Lancaster PA...nice place to visit/stay over for a weekend, done it a couple times. Got any pics of your previous rides?

None handy, though I'll see what I can find. The herd was sold off quite a while back, so have to track down some old pics and scan them in. If nothing else, I can grab a picture of my truck. 79 D100. Not a C-Body, but sporting a 440 (truck casting, so probably from an old dump truck or motor home). Is that close enough for membership?? :icon_wink:

Wait a minute....Lancaster?

I live about 45 minutes away in Aberdeen. I love it up there! German food as close to Milwaukee style as you can get.
 
There's an Amish store in the next town over from where I live. They sell any and everything having to do with the Amish lifestyle and way of life....in particular food. The best thing is all the food they cook/make. During the holidays its shoulder to shoulder in the store with all the good stuff to eat. We get a thanksgiving turkey there every year.
 
Trust me, if I were in the market right now I'd already have snapped it up! I have to take care of a few things first, then can look seriously. Knowing my luck, there will be nothing but rustbuckets on the market once I'm at a point that I can pounce. :eusa_wall:
