I found a working AM radio and just bought an Fm converter. I need to find a place were I can get my speaker reconed. The radio and the Fm converter are staying in my room until the restoration is complete. I hope I can find a CD player that would work with the radio .
I would like to do an off frame restoration on the car

We have a original AM radio with a MP3 converter in jazebelle, works great.

And Steph ........ Your car dosen't have a frame ..... It's a unibody. :poke:But we know what you mean.

I bought another AM radio for my '61 it was repaired and lubed by a retired electrician. I also got an FM converter that is still in the original box and has never been used. I now got to find a CD changer that would work on this. The radio does not have the bezel but I can use the 1 off my other radio. This saved me a couple of hundred dollars to have it converted

My '61 came from Beltsville, MD. I had it shipped from there to Stephens Performace . When it arrived my dad and I went down with the car trailer to pick it up.

The restoration has started and here are some photos of some of the work 2010-03-25 20.46.50.jpg2010-03-25 20.47.00.jpg2010-03-25 20.47.06.jpg2010-03-25 20.47.11.jpg2010-03-25 20.47.06.jpg2010-03-25 20.47.36.jpg2010-03-25 20.47.19.jpg2010-03-25 20.48.09.jpg2010-03-25 20.48.18.jpg2010-03-25 20.48.25.jpg2010-03-25 20.48.44.jpg
