67 Fury III

The plan is definitely to install an H-pipe to balance out the flow and sound. I may go with a slightly taller and wider tire to make sure that I can put some of that power to the ground.

Question for all you car nuts: Why would my newly installed electric oil pressure gauge be reading over 100 psi? My engine builder tells me I need to install a mechanical gauge but I don't understand why? The oil gauge and sending unit all came from the same kit but the information it's showing does not help me at all.

Does anyone know if you can change the lightbulb in a fender turn signal for a 1967 Plymouth Fury III? My passenger side is out and after removing the allen head screw from underneath and spraying with half a bottle of WD-40 and Zepco liquid wrench, I can't seem to get what I think is the bulb and socket to budge.

Electrical relies on sensors , sensors go bad more than their mechanical counter parts. My 2...

100 psi something is wrong i think. my mechanical gauge reads about 40psi when going, and goes down to 20psi at idle, if i remember correctly.

for the bulb, unhook your battery then grab the bulb base with pliers, if you can. thats all i got.

I tried replaced the oil pressure gauge and tried 3 different gauges, all of which read 40-45 psi. So, I'll take the consensus and go with the best looking of the working oil gauges.

Update: Full length 2.5" exhaust with H-pipe installed and flowmaster 40 series mufflers giving it a nice little rumble. Power steering box will need to be rebuilt or replaced because of all the slop. The only lights not working properly are the reverse lights and I'm still trying to figure out how to replace the fender turn signal bulb. Oh, the 727 is not shifting into 3rd and has to go back to the shop for diagnostic and adjustment. I've checked the fluid level, kicdown linkage has been adjusted and I'm getting good up shift to 2nd and down shift to 1st. Pictures will be uploaded soon. The car may just be ready by the time the first snow falls which would be aswesome if you're familiar with Chicago winters.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I am looking forward to a productive winter where I can get some of the little things done to ensure some good cruising next year.

Most recent update is the removal of some rusty metal on the driver front floor pan. I've got the new piece from C2C but will use my newly purchased bead roller to finish the floor as close to original as possible. I need to have my feet on some secure metal before spring gets here. There's some cruising to be done.

I am soliciting recommendations on sound deadening material if anyone has an opinion. (Look who I'm asking. LOL)

I have seen a few things about lizard skin, I haven't used it myself though. My son used some spray can stuff in his trunk for his sound system it helps keep down the rattles when his bass hits. The lizard skin or similar products work the same way. Love the engine pic's and the wheels
