383 Commando Package question

Any updates?

I have a '65 Commando 383 that I'd like to make into a driver/sleeper as well.

Pre 1968's had an AFB.
In the '68 model year, these were changed to an AVS with the exception of the Hemi.

The carburetors look similar, at a glance but, the AFB has seperate air/fuel mixture adjustment screws and the AVS has a single air/fuel adjustment screw.

From what I understand, the change was made from the AFB to the AVS to allow for coming emission standards and the AVS burns leaner at idle.

if i'm correct 65 would have had an afb carb later came the avs which is what yhe edlebrock is
