Sorry been a while since I've checked this thread. Here is a shot of the Chrysler PPW for it. Sorry but not interested in a Chevelle.

It's a typo by Chrysler. If you have seen a lot of the decodes they make mistakes all the time. They just type them out real quick and don't proof read. 1 would be 3 speed on the column, 3 is 4 on the floor and 4 is auto. I'll try to dig out the certicard tomorrow and post a pic.

and the plot thickens ( cue the music).......Stay tuned listeners for more great adventures in the mystical and magical factory 4sp, 383 car.

hum.. very very interesting too...
I like the 4 speed on floor on this ! the lever makes me think of my tow truck.

Here is the certicard. Going to probably try eBay tomorrow so last chance before it goes out to the masses. Figure Mecum/Barrett Jackson week is a good time to list something.

Best of luck with the sale. It's too bad that no one here is buying. Maybe recommend the new owner to join the site?

Came sooo close to sending you a PM the other day but the freaking dollar held me back. Right now $US = $CAD x 1.37 which sucks for us north of the 49th. Adding in the trip to the left coast to pick it up and another 5% federal tax at the border, it just isn't feasible anymore.

But l sure do like that car of yours. Thanks for posting here first and best of luck with the sale. Terry
Yup..The exchange rate is killing everything regarding the old car hobby.
I would jump on the car as well.
However,right car,wrong time.

The lit says if you wanted a four speed 440 4 dr. sedan, you could order one.
I didn't say anyone did.

You could order a 66 Fury I 2 dr. post sedan with a 440/4 spd.
Never ever saw or heard of one so I built my own.
Yep, from what we were told there were 3 67 furys built with the 440 4 speed combo. My buddy bought a light blue one that I had found sitting behind a local toyota dealer. The orig owners son sold it to him, he was a mech at the toyota dealer and said it was special ord by his father, who did work for chrysler at the time. 440 4 speed, 3.54 dana and disc brakes on it. I wanna say my buddy who bought it spoke with Galen G about it and thats where the number of 3 built came from.

Any pic,s of that car.......?
I actually just sent my buddy Tom a msge on facebook to see if he does. I hope he does. It was such a cool car! It was so fun to blow away the camaros and chevelles with this big 4 door fury.

The sad thing is the car was burned up in a storage building fire back in about 93-94. They had about 30 cars stored in there and almost all were a total loss. The last time I saw it in was about 2 feet high, the support beam that ran front to back in the building came down directly on top of it lengthwise. It went to hwy 101 auto salvage in savage mn after that. So sad to see it destroyed. My other buddy lost a 67 satellite and his wifes 72 swinger in there, another had got his 68 340 gts out the weekend before.

Yeah I have to admit I like the fast top 67-68 impala and bel air. Plus only cars you can get a 427 in except in the tupperware. I guess the GM brain trust was trying to keep us from hurting ourselves or trying to not sell as many cars at possible.
