Was a nice rare vert......It needs a lot of work. I don't think he'll get 10k out of it. I wonder what sitting above it?

Oh, man that's a cool car.

So, could a guy make a profit on that resto?

Too bad. I'm trying to figure out how I'll make a living next year & it would be pretty cool to buy & sell cars.

About the only way to make a living selling cars is to buy low.... wash it.... sell high.
The cost of parts and services these days is to high to profit from, and you need to concider your time. If I wanted to cash in on my time plus cost on my 300, (which is really a driver quality restro), i would need to get $40,000.00....... Good luck with that

I beg to differ. You can make a living if you have absolutely no morals, ethics, and are too stupid to know it.
BTW, how many people here now know that Galen has given up his day job and is now pimping full time for a dealer.

I've heard of this guy before .... some dude on another forum use his name when talking about their car (a c body)...what makes him such an expert??

Yeah, that was in a magazine 8 months ago, with a cute little photo.

He knows a lot less than he thinks but he talks a good game, if your not on to him.

Galen is no different than us.......he started decoding cars for friends, started a registry, and somehow got annointed as the go to guy for verifying original Mopars and decoding cars.

Over the years, I have come to know guys that blow Galen out of the water.
For S/S B-bodies - Jim Childs.
For A-bodies - Jim Rhinehart
For For 1 of nn cars - Scott Smith
For our own C-bodies - Many, many guys for specific models. But Leaburn is the da man for #'s and statistics. I don't think there's a book in existance that he can't refer to. For my own Formals, my go-to guy will always be Kip Gardner up in Canada.

And back on topic...
This car's a mess from Texas.:)
YES it is.
It needs a $75k restoration to make it a solid $25k car.

Looks like a bargain now compared to this one:

Very nice clone. I don't think it worth the asking price (to me) since it's an original 318 car. The seller is honest and didn't maunfacturer an intentional fake.
