Thanks... I tried to contact this seller a while back with the old add... I tried again today. Thanks, Dave

That one got a little bit of internet fame, was on B.A.T or some other multi-makes site.

I don't know your goal for such a car, but something to consider on this one - there is a lot of surface rust on the dashboard/controls of this car, and in my estimation this car has stayed moist inside for an extended period in its life. That may lead to unexpected issues down the road.

Thanks for the Input guys... The seller did contact me trough Craigslist and I am interested in the car. The surface rust on the lower dash , shifter and pedals only concern me if it's the tip of the iceberg. The seller does have a detailed description of needed repairs but I will need to get eyes on. Anyone on the site live close by I could pay to do a look?
What can be better than a Black on Black C body 4 speed...? Car deserves to be restored

The seller is a little full of himself. I hope that someone can slap some reality in him about the price and bring it home.
Personally, I give the that car the FCBO three, "If I..."s.
I would probably overpay for it. But not a lot. Eight grand. And a bank full of money to make it a #1. All or nothing.

Thought I had posted this pic already, but here it is now. Look all the way up at the defroster vents by the windshield.

I'm not saying that there's an iceberg, but probably icecubes. Question #1 is how does that water get in, and #2 what has it done while it's in there? This is long-term moisture. What damage is hidden?

I would want to be sitting in that car, inspecting everything, while Stan is rinsing it with a garden hose. then he takes a picture of car and hose.:D

Mr Saylor, my one-day-apart-joiner! What's about the location other than Mass?

Well, I was e mailed additional pics of the underside. The seller seems nice enough but based on the pics you need new floors (Rears for sure) new trunk pan (He has a new one) quarter repair and the front fenders are starting to need cutting and welding work... I was hoping to buy a 4 speed C body that I could drive and enjoy while I finish my 69 Polara 500 Convert... then restore (some paint & Mechanics) the 4 speed car. This 67 is a really sharp car, but I just don't have the energy or time to do a nut and bolt resto.

A lot af that surface rust on the interior doesn't add up to road use corrosion so it was likely stored in a corrosive environment... for that reason one can expect a number of electrical and mechanical issues on top of cosmetic ones.

Mass ain't the place to buy from... at least not a native car.

Prior to this, I was thinking the $8000 opening bid I posted earlier wasn't terrible for a complete running/driving car (although it got no bids), but the 12k on the CL listing is nuts-high for the cosmetics it needs.

Now needing so much metal work it looks like a $55-6500 car. And I personally still wouldn't touch it except to drive as-is. That car is a poor choice for a resto, at least at that entry price.

I have stuck 383 to go with it. had 4sp rebuilt to use in my 67 SF convert. rebuilt 4sp $1500 extra, used being replaced $800. Shifter and all 4speed stuff with either.took rear out to change to 3.23 suregrip. hasn't been installed yet. goes with car. I will try to upload pics. interior is good except drivers seat. peach color. still has factory bubble covering on entire interior. most of hard to find interior stuff is good, headliner, dash, etc asking $900 for car and whichever option you choose on 4 sp.
