Dan, see my post above. A $27.85 option - see page 6 of the pocket sized 1971 Plymouth car and equipment prices book. I have seen a car that was repainted that did have the stripe before it was painted.

V5X is body side mouldings.. has your car been repainted and the holes filled?.... do you have a PIC of your car before i twas painted?...possibly it had tape stripes.. usually you can find remnants of them at fender edges and door edges as some wrapped around.. never seen GT tape stripes on a non GT yet..but never say never!
No unfortunately, I must be mistaken then on the fender v5x... I just got into Mopars recently so I’m still learning so I went off of a decoder and the options list FCA sent me when I contacted the historic branch.

The car WAS repainted at some point to a different green, it had body filler in more than a few places but there were no holes on the doors or filler panels etc like my 70 Fury III with the trim had.

I bought the car from the second owners estate after he had passed. Any information on the car before I bought it like pictures has been impossible to find. All I could find is that it was originally sold at “Pajot Chrysler” in amherstburg ontario.

Broadcast sheet found! Hard to see in the picture, not really sure where stripes and side moulding is listed on it.

Konner,

The second box from the end of line 3 would contain the stripe code but in your photo, there is a "blob" over that box. Maybe you can see through the blob in person or carefully clean it off. If your car came with body side moldings, they would be indicated in the 10th box on line 9 of the broadcast sheet right next to box 9 for belt moldings, which has a correct "1" in it indicating you car was belt with belt moldings, which all Sport Furys had.

The stripe code should be V6X. Could the 5 on your fender tag possibly be a 6? My non-professional but time consuming analysis of your broadcast sheet is that your car was NOT built with body side moldings.

I used the site below to help decode the broadcast sheet.
