Six Days On The Road/What A Long Strange Trip It's Been

Thanks for sharing your story and pics, looking forward to updates as you get it going!

Great story and your trip sure jarred my memory bankz. FYI, the 1st pix you posted had to be taken in the 28 miles stretch when you crossed thru' Arizona on I-15 south of PROVO. We call that canyon "BLACK RIVER GORGE" and it's one of the prettiest pieces of interstate in the whole country. The restaurant in the truck stop S.W. of there in Mesquite, Nv. used to give you change when you'd pay for your meal for a $20 ALL IN SILVER DOLLARS 'cuz you had to walk thru' the casino to get out of there, lol. BTW, Theirz a way to cut 60 miles off your trip from Billings to Rapid city too but thatz another story. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed you 6 day trip and the pix, Jer

Some scenery.

Crater Lake is beyond the hills in the background, you can see the faint outline of the higher ridge. O sat in the front, and Jared in the box of the side by side, holding down a bench a friend from high school made for Brian, from a tree felled in his yard. His neighbor has a mill and cut the boards for him, at least one inch thick, the bench was heavy! Should be some awesome views from the top, we really should have gone up before we left, but not doing so gives us a reason to go back.

I thought they put them together at one place, but we saw plane fuselages rolling by.

Last time I went through here, there was a massive conveyor that went over the freeway for this coal mine, I believe that's what it is.

Miles, yes. Time, not so much.
At night I agree, but then we both know that THAT'S when the Native Americans try to run their critters out on the road so you'll run over them and pay dearly for the crime. I've run from Spearfish up thru' Belle Fourche and over to Crow Agency in day lite and never dropped below 55 and most of the time flat out,lol

Thanks Scott for the great write up and pics. It's good to know you've made it safely home... The new car does look sweet, I suppose the thaw will have you bustin your butt getting her roadworthy.

No fences and signs that say Range Cattle at Large. The signs should say Range Cattle ARE Large.
