Saw the remake of this classic over the weekend. Pretty good action packed movie.
But what I noticed while watching it, (Bruce Willis) Dr. Paul Kersey's older brother, played by Vincent D'Onofrio, (AKA Gomer Pyle in Full Metal Jacket), happens to be driving a 69 Dodge Polara (or Monaco) with a white top and the Spring Special grill treatment.
There are about 3 scenes in the movie that briefly show this car.
Funny what you notice when watching a movie, and what you remember is the C body.

What color was that polara/Monaco .......2dr.....4dr ?

The few scenes that had the car in it were very brief. The first one I only saw the white vinyl roof, and I quickly knew what it was. The other 2 scenes were at shot at night, but they were too short to tell what color or if 2 or 4 door, although the taillights were unmistakably a 69 Dodge Polara/Monaco.

Is nothing sacred? There are some movies that should never be a remake. I like Bruce and I'm glad to see him still gettin down but call it something else.

While we're on the subject of movies. Check out black gunn. A 70s action flick that Jim brown made fresh from his football retirement. It's chuck full of fuselage action, even a limo! They ride soooo high when there New, its' a wonderful thing!

I was watching one of the DW sequels in the theater in the '80s. Jill Ireland was playing Charlie's love interest. A woman siting behind me said, "Why do they always cast younger women to play the lover of such an older man?" I turned around and said, "She's his wife." The woman said, "Yes, I know we're supposed to believe that in this movie, but it's just such a fantasy." I said, "No, Jill Ireland, the actress, is Charlie Bronson's wife." She said, "Oh, she is not; he's too old." I just laughed. What else could I do?

Lmao great story! Yeah , they were like Clint Eastwood & Sandra Locke. Made a few movies together. She was The only surviving death wish love interest cause she had the smarts to dump his *** when she finds the forged doctor id in the waste basket lol.

She and Charlie made a number of flicks together. I will always remember her as Spock's Love in that one episode of Star Trek where they were attacked by spores.

The Remake probably won't make my day. :D
