Electronic Ignition

Yeah, I know, but I'm beginning to wonder about it myself.......all of it just fits together too much to be misshapen chain of events.

Also, on topic - I will need to check the ignition system on my fury. The other day I had a solid single piston miss until I floored it in the parking lot for a bit and cleared out whatever it was. I'm betting it was just gunk and might grab a hotter set of plugs.

You want a colder spark plug.
People get confused by the terminology.
A colder plug produces a hotter spark because less heat is retained in the insulated tip, hence: colder.
You missing this, Ross?

Everything from gummint conspiracies to thermodynamic theory - we got it all here.

If you idle all the time you need ''hotter'' plugs. (Taxi cab waiting on a fare)

If you stand on it all the time you need ''colder'' plugs. (Dragster haul'in arse)

The idea is to keep the plug warm/cool enough to fire the mixture (without miss fire), If you idle the plug cools down, if you don't it warms up. Less revolutions means less heat, more revolutions means more.

Stans ''terminology'' is incorrect.

The Mopar electronic conversion kit is an excellent choice, but note that it has a ''High performance advance curve'' which changes the way you adjust your timing. You no longer adjust the timing to ''curb'' spec's.

Thanks for the lesson, uncle Stan.

Very good counterpoint.

Something for you chew on now that you have both sides of the argument.
You werent here day 1
My first time here was Day 1 for me.
Stop splitting hairs and trying to push buttons which is what you have been doing since your Day 1.

You must remember, His very existence in life is to push buttons, if it were not for that, Dave would not be Dave....and how much fun would that be? Not much at all....
