Still alive:

Sorry to hear it. Be sure to respond to the email with a thanks for the interview and request follow-up is anything changes. Do you have any sense of where it went off the rails in the interview?

Congrats on the job, depending on what you need for air tools I would consider checking craigslist for used as well as buying new. When I look on craigslist I see a lot of pawn shops list their tools there.

Great result. I have been in your locale before at the Pratt & Whitney plant (now A-R) and the St Lucie nuclear plant, but takes connections to get hired at those places. Sounds like a job one could love, at least how they appear on the cable shows (if you discount the staged drama). Ditto on always call them back. When I was finishing my M.S. in Mech Engr (late 1970's), I was 2 wks from graduating and still no offers. I finally called one company back to ask why I never got a rejection letter, and they said they mailed an offer letter 2 wks ago, so grabbed it (and good pay). Last time I was out of work 5 months then got 2 offers the same week. I was just told I am out of my current job in 6 weeks, but expected for over a year since the plant is closing. I will finally have time to catch up on home jobs, like my 3 1960's Mopars. Probably won't work again unless a really challenging opportunity or I get really bored.
