My buddy and I, (and several very talented friends), have been working on this project for over 6 years now. Its a 57 Chevrolet in body only. Mounted on a full Art Morrison sport touring chassis and powered by a Texas speed 408 LQ5 with twin Borg Warner turbos. The car is basicly hand fabricated.
Right now its at 850 HP at the crank and 675 at the rear wheels. We're loosing a lot of pressure through the intercooler so a new one is being fabricated. Goal is 1000HP.
I'll post pics of the interior once its put back together. Picking at a few glitch's now.

She's pretty. What color blue is that? Oh, and I'm an X-frame chevy guy. I see that '63 sitting beside it, anything special there?

Its "House of colors" three stage cobalt blue.

The 63 is my buddy's car. He's the second owner. Impala H/T matching 327/300 and three on the tree.

Nice. It looks like it's well taken care of. I have a similar Impala, a 64 with the 327/300 but with a powerglide.

Great looking car Will. Have to ask though, did you have any trouble with the Hoc cobalt blue bleeding? About 10 years ago I did a 71 Chevelle and when I tried to put the white SS stripes on it they turned blue. And then when I buffed it after putting 3 or 4 coats of clear on it the pad turned light blue also. I actually talked to John Kosmoski who was the founder and owner of HOC at the time. He said that color does that and he didn't know why. Since then I believe Valspar bought them out. Hopefully they fixed it.

So far, so good Chris. It was painted about 4/5 years ago. The only issue is a "lift" situation on the hood, (of all places), but I don't think the paint is the issue. The hood will need to be stripped and redone. It has yet to go to final cut and buff and there will be no additional contrasting colors or grafics done.

The final cut and buff will tell the story. It never really affected the quality of the paint job but it was just really strange that one color did it.

Nice car Will!

As bright as that blue is.....you won't need any lights!

Wow! 7.99 ET or faster in the 1/4 mi;e qualifies for the Top Sportsman class!

House of Color candies have some very aggressive solvents in them. It's almost like spraying lacquer. If you apply it too wet those solvents can attack the undercoats. Sounds like that happened to your hood.

Thanks Chris. Perhaps, but the area effected is about the size of a half dollar. I suspect something happened under the paint. Thing is, it will be almost impossible to blend. We may even have to refinish the tops of the fenders to get a match.
