The SAGA Begins - '66 300 Convertible

I was waiting to see a pic of the bracket to see if i had one for you.

Gary: Yesterday, I made an attempt to remove the existing 383 bracket from the A/C pump, so I could at least post a picture of the bracket. Should be easy. Huh? Nooo. . . The bracket is attached to the pump with long bolts that insert from the front of the pump from behind the clutch / hub assembly. To remove the clutch / hub, a C-3787 puller is required, which of course I don't have. Nothing that should be easy is easy. . . I shall continue to endeavor to persevere. . .

I just looked at the map to see where Germantown is, when we come down to see the wife's sister next time I may have to stop and see this ride in person. She lives in Annapolis

You are welcome any time. Just let me know when yer coming.

The Garage Mahal is located a short distance off I-70 near Frederick, MD.

You most likely will not need that tool. I usually spin the nut off with impact (easier than trying to hold it). Then just tap lightly around the rear of the clutch perpendicular to the shaft. They have a taper on the shaft which will allow it to just pop right off.
Good luck.

You should be able to rent a suitable tool from the parts store... or break your foot Dave's way...
