Hey guys
I'm thinking of recovering my seats myself. It's a 66 Monaco black buckets and console.
Ice never done it before but want to try it out and aftermarket seat covers are not available.
I know I need an industrial sewing machine.
Can anyone tell me what other tools I need and where to get material.

You may want to reach out to SMS as they may be able to make the covers for you.

Not sure on cost but it may be less expensive when you consider the cost to secure the correct equipment and materials not to mention your time.

Time, time time. I did probably get a little carried away by trying to re- create originality. If you have some pattern making skills and idea of construction and some sewing knowledge it can be done.
It seems to me before I started my bench seat re-upholster project there were 66 bucket seat covers out there somewhere ( probably fury though). Now whether or not they are the correct pattern I don't know. I would be curious if SMS would do the covers for you. They definitely have the right materials. I didn't see it offered for my '68, but I didn't specifically ask them either. So I went down the rebuild myself route.

Is it a Canadian Monaco? They use Sport Fury interiors and Legendary lists skins for a 66 Sport Fury
